That is full screen with the black or white border. No that is the only 2 options you have despite what you make your windows settings. I find resolution in windows of 1440 x 900 to work best for me based on my video card and monitor size.

my gameclient has always opened in a new borderless window from day one. (1st pic)       I'm guessing yours looks like the 2nd pic ?

You can click on the full screen mode (bottom right corner) which will give you the white bars top and bottom that    pjctas     was talking about.  F11 depending on your browser will get rid of the white bars.

If you try F11, it will send your browser into 'full screen' mode.

If you have a widescreen monitor, there is no way I know of to eliminate the black bars to the left and right. This doesnt mean you are NOT in full screen. It just means the game itself is formatted to suit all monitors, including the old 'square' type CRTs

This is called Aspect Ratio and WGT has it in 4:3 whereas your widescreen monitor will be 16:9  (or perhaps 16:10)

Changing Resolution wont alter your Aspect Ratio.

Perhaps trying different resolutions unto you find one you are happy with, but you may find the images are skewed horizontal or vertical.

Download the Maxthon browser (http://www.maxthon.com/) and use it exclusively for WGT. It is immensely better than using IE, Chrome or Firefox (my browser of choice) for this golf sim. Additionally, you shouldn't have to clear your browser's cache as much to get a very smooth performance level.
