Is there a way to turn the shot timer off in match play?

Is there a way to play a fade or draw?

No and no. Although by hitting early or late you can get some sideways movement.

No to the first question, a very definite yes to the 2nd!!

Go and look at 2 saved "draws" on my profile..

I cant believe how many ppl insist that it is impossible to draw or fade a ball on WGT, yet I can do it with regularity..

Maybe a "controlled hook or slice" would be a better description for the anoraks out there but shot shaping is very definitely possible..

The replay at @2 BPB may well be considered a "hook" around the trees but the other is a nice draw against a very light left to right wind..

Check it out and judge for yourself..

Hitting just before or after the ding would be a straight push or pull, this is a little more complicated and timing is critical to get a draw or fade effect..

    Peace,

    Andrew

    Full ACK!

Controlled hook&fade are good definitions though one might also draw the line at "control"...

I'm still learning on it - where to aim is my biggest ??? - but I learned that the meter must be hit at or outside the 2nd or 4th bar respectively, the "ding" being the third. Sometimes I think that good hits are looong!

I learnt how to do it from the thread below, you are correct though regarding the timing, a few mm either side of the right spot and you are in deep trouble lol

BPB # 2 I aim straight, ie move the default aimer a few yards to the right If I want to hit a draw..Full backspin, full power and bingo..

Ty for mentioning, there's another link in that thread pointing further.

Once I saw a pic from BPB #2 with the trees marked as targets, depending on the wind. Any hint available to that thread?

No sorry, not sure about that, just have to compensate quite a bit with your original aim..

Also all depends on where the wind is coming from :-)

The last statement says it all.
