who thought up the grand idea of playing in a tourny. by yourself ? do you think tiger or phil would go along with this type of format ? or any golfer for that matter. i think not ,so why are we subjected to that type of crap here ? i would think that in the spirit of compition that a group of four golfers playing together would make for a much better tourny . but thats just me . i like playing agenst others in a stake game it makes me better and would suspect that others are like minded. hardcase1

I see it both ways. On one hand tourneys are boring alone. On the other hand more can be completed faster by yourself. Also, you can play at your own speed and take breaks when you want. Which helps a lot if you are doing other things while playing WGT. I still think there should be an option to join up with other people playing tourneys. It does make you try a little harder to win if youre playing against others.

I agree that it would be more enjoyable to play with others in tourneys.  But would think that they would need to disable the chat window for the sake of not letting friends give each other shot info.

Example,  big head or tail winds, I could hit a certain shot and if it came up short or long, I could tell my buddy what  I hit to help him shoot lower.

Same thing on big crosswinds and even putt distances.

If I was having a terrible round, why wouldn't I finish it while helping a friend shoot lower.

then we could split the winnings in the form of gifting sleeves.

Like most, yes it would make the game realistic and could make you more competitive.

The downsides as I see it, is the advice offered (as hpurey points out), the time it would take to play with 3 others (would take up to 1 1/5 hours), people getting booted and returning to a lobby, and the sheer logistics of getting 4 in a group to play the same tourny at any given time. I struggle to get 4 players in Blitz some days, let alone players of equal ability/tier.

Seldom have I started a m/p stroke round with four and finished with 4 - infact only when I have played with friends.

I think the programming changes to set up separate lobbies for each tourny would far outweigh the advantage for WGT, personally I would rather see a new course added.
