moving up to tour master

  Loving this game and totally addicted when it's not tempting me to throw my PC out the window sometimes!!

  I'm a level 86 with an now average of 65.47, i've played atleast 6 rounds today all under par, i played in a CC tourney and shot 4 under for 18 holes. My average is still the same and has not altered at all...how??

  Am i close to turning TM, i play everyday, this is frustrating, especially after great rounds.

  Can anyone advice please

  Go to your "play now" page & seek out either a t/m or legend for a match play game...win a few of them & you will be a tour master before the day is out.

  You have to shoot rounds of 32 or less to go down, a 33 will not move you down. If you shot 4 under on a par 72 that won't move ya down.

  this is my opignion only ,  but  since i have become a WGT member,  i am now  Legend  , and my average been going down verry slowly.........    but everytime in the past  i got closer to reaching a new tier ,the game for weeks sometime a month ,would  become so hard  to at least play some sub 32 .  I am under the impression that the game is design   that way .........   But again it could of been all in my head ,, :)  one thing that is for sure dont give up you will make it ....ask Renn  :)   for a while there Renniw,was just going nuts LOL   and like us did not give up  made it one day to TM, then  Leg   ,like me and many others i am sure ,we at one time all said  i never will be a Legend .............    Wrong  i was  .............        So  GL    you will make it patience      ( est de mise )              Frapp

  I've looked at your profile page you are playing all courses which most on here will tell you is the correct approach. Your equipment is good although IMO I would go with 3 wedges & drop the hybrid. Patience is the key here the last few strokes to make TM is tough, but it will come. Relax & enjoy & before you know voila you will be a TM.

  As Hewsey said your clubs are ok. Certainly consider your 3rd wedge to replace either the Hybrid or 3wood, which ever you use less.

  And Courtney is also on the money with needing avge of 63 to reach TM,

  This is probably a little low to alter your average.

  You need to hit 3 - 4 under per 9 to budge it. At times only 0.5

  Playing the easy courses, St Andrews F9, Kiawah B9 etc reduces your average less than playing the harder courses, St Georges, Olympic, Oakmont etc

  You can hammer the F9 at St Andrews over and over and if you achieve 4 under or better you WILL reduce your average maybe 0.5 (or less) each time.

  But if you hit the same score on the B9 at Olympic you may lose 1.0 from your average.

   

  Having said that, DONT BE IN A HURRY.

  By all means strive to achieve but dont beat yourself up if you cant get  4 under each 9.

  Simply means you're not quite ready yet anyway., you dont want to reach TMaster and on your first 9, go 2 or 3 over!
