    Hi alex,

Can you explain what you mean by "freezing?"  Is the game locking up and preventing you from moving on completely or are you just experiencing slower performance on the greens overall?

If it's the latter, I recommend turning off your Green Grid in your in-game options.  Even with the Green Grid set to OFF it will still display the grid up until the moment you begin to set the power for your putt.  At that point you don't really need the grid anymore anyway, so getting rid of it should help out with overall performance.

Not necessarily.  Laptops aren't inferior by default and many are more power than some desktop PC's.  It really comes down to your specific system's capabilities.

I am getting very frustrated with the game, because as they have added more courses, the game has gotten much slower to load. Lately the game will take as much as 5 minutes to play one hole because I am waiting to be able to aim and then right in the middle of the swing meter going forward, it will stop for a second, then jump. If I can catch it, I just let it swing and try again, but sometime it happens right as I am clicking in the zone and it causes a very bad shot. I can actually watch all pages disappear on the task bar, then reload. These problems are making it impossible to compete in tournaments, especially the single play, because one bad shot can cause a double bogey and blow the entire round. I strongly suggest WGT looking at getting some better servers. I have 1 GB of memory and the fastest DSL speed ATT offers and constantly clean out temp files and cookies, so it's not my computer

Seriously Niv whats the point of having all these game options only to be told to turn them off. Its almost a WGT confession that that you guys add things to the program with absolute zero knowledge of the outcome. It seems as though you guys just throw these updates out there and wait for the bug logs to come in.This is a poor effort on behalf of your programmers, should they not do the bulk of the testing before it`s(the update) intended implementation.

I believe this game would benefit from the removal of the chat feature and in it`s place the use of SKYPE, as headphones with a microphone are cheap and most laptops have them built in. My reason for this is the majority of game-meter lag is caused by chat. I also find when talking on SKYPE it does not produce this lag imo.

I run a modern system with only 7 background processes running and since the last update game play is ordinary to say the very least. Common sense is the best approach, but rush and jump seem to be the way round here.

    Just my opinion CSC

CSC, I think Niv (and a lot of members here) recommend turning of Putting Grid because it's not very useful and is not an advantage to have it on.

The more things running and the higher the graphics settings, the slower the game is going to run [typically] for all members. If members are having troubles running the game smoothly, I see no foul in telling them to turn off any optional features.

TLD like i said why have them seriously you guys with all the answer, i`m not being rude but by the time they add everything they want to this game, you will need a six thousand dollar pc to play.

    I have a related question.

Can you not putt from the fringe? I just took 3 tries to putt off the fringe, kinda messed me up, but what can you do, lol.
