For the first time (on my system), Adobe flash updated me to the newest version today (09 Nov 2012) without re-enabling pepperflash, as had long been requested!

Everything seems to work perfectly, without any apparent issues (not counting my personal inability to go really low from the legend tees, yet). But there is now plenty of time to improve my long game (a must) and course management to even begin to play with the mavens who laugh at 60s.

With future Adobe Flash issues hopefully a non-issue, maybe some players will return to play WGT more regularly.

Adobe claims that the newest flash version will now use less memory (possibly freeing up some stutter issues for others). I do not have any.

So for those who wish to use the latest flash and do not want to wait for Adobe to come to them, they can visit Adobe and download this version now.

I always said, if it's not broken, don't fix it:)

ok Icon, I'd like the WGT version before Aug 2! lol

I uttered some critique after this update. Alas I didn't think much about the possible downside of this wish, though WGT has certainly  improved from then on. In the same way, a utility update like Flash 11.5 is worth a try.

I add a preliminarily positive report to the list:

With Firefox 16.0.2, Flash 11.5.502.110 works well from the start. Load time for the game client seems faster than before, the CPU load during play is on the same level, and game and meter run smooth but not perfect.

I say preliminary because I had a similar good experience with a former 11.x version which proved wrong after a few games. I hope that those freezes and crashes won't return now.

I think that was the Pepper Flash problem and apparently it's no longer a part of the process. LOL-still ain't messing with it.  ;-)

    No pepper in FF, Jim.

Chrome didn't respond to the clicks due to pepperflash, FF crashed and froze except with 10.3. Both may have become history now *leers at the sky*

Ya, see that. Missed the FF. LOL So used to the Pepper crashes which is pretty much the gist of the OP's post-no more Pepper to worry about.  ;-)

    Not for Chrome it isn't!

Your version is for the I.E. &  FF browsers. The Chrome version is still the Pepper-based Flash Player.

Three weeks ago I turned off my Pepper Flash, and ever since it has been smooth sailing.
