Is there any way at all to get the ball to bite out of a trap?  I'm assuming not!  I've logged the carry of almost all distances but has anyone figured out a "rollout" equation like the there is with pitches and chips?

I am aware that uphill and downhill shots will effect the amount of roll so I don't need to be reminded of that.

a pitch will get you that "seve" like bunker shot,
the good thing is you can really get close to the hole using it
but it needs to be long enough to get on the green.

punch is relatively the safer option,
but again you need to pay attention to the lie, backspin
and the amount of green that you have to work with.

very important to practice bunker shots,
a good "go to" bunker shot will save a round from falling apart.
