Chat with MisterWGT 11/16 - POSTPONED

  Hello community,

  I bring sad news. We worked really hard trying to get this next chat with MisterWGT launched on Friday but, sadly, we will have to postpone the chat. At it's current state, we feel the chat platform would not provide an optimal experience, and with some more time and hard work, we will be able to significantly improve this experience.

  I personally made this decision, as I feel that the community deserves a polished, well run medium through which we convey our vital information in the chat with MisterWGT. I am confident that we will be able to overcome the obstacle in front of us in the near future, however a specific date/time is unknown at this time. Once a solution is foreseeable, we will give the community ample warning to prepare for the new date/time.

  There is a thread going right now that is collecting questions for MisterWGT. Keep posting your questions, and once we are ready to go, we will still look at this thread and collect questions for MisterWGT to field. I apologize for the news, and the short notice.

  I promise I will do everything in my power to give the community what it deserves.

  This is true. If the obstacle (which I can not get in to) proves to be insurmountable, this is a last resort option. I am confident that we will be able to move forward with this new platform, which will deliver a much more comprehensive experience, once we are able to work this out.

  Exactly . Deleting mine now. What a waste of my time and info. Also as YJ said why not use what was used before to move forward  ? Makes no sense.

  BTW why have 1 huge thread of questions . I would have thought the BUG thread would be sufficient for WGT to get info from and actually start trying to fix some o those issues instead of just talking about them being fixed. :( Oh well.

  IMO, Pizza is tap dancing because Chad had to cancel, for whatever reason. This makes zero sense to cancel because of a "new" platform. Nobody was asking for a change and the interaction was good.

  This is not true, YankeeJim, and I hoped you would know me better than that by now.

  This situation is exactly what I typed - There is an obstacle that is preventing us from giving you the optimal experience while using Twitch. We will be using Twitch moving forward, and while this is a minor obstacle, I felt it was important enough to delay the upcoming chat.

  If anyone, you guys should be blaming me. I'm sorry I can't go in to further details about what the obstacle is, but let's just say some paperwork got in the way of us launching our chat this Friday. I'm confident that we will get over this obstacle, and I am doing everything within my power to expedite this process, and as soon as we make progress I will let the community know.

  I apologize again, and please believe me when I say this was an unforeseen obstacle, and once we get through it we will be delivering a much more comprehensive "chat with MisterWGT" experience. I have seen it in action and it's phenomenal - not just the bells and whistles, but how we are able to convey the information we share.

  Were it not for this statement I would think differently. The problem is you have totally ruled out Mirc chat, for whatever reason, and as far as I know there was no paperwork involved in using that. THAT is what makes me think what I do. I realize you're the messenger and I'm not shooting you.

  Seriosuly - why not simply select questions from the thread and answer them in a new thread, that can be locked. Discussions about the locked thread can be continued in a new thread.
