AND...as has been said many times before:  Everyone's internet connection/quality/speed  is NOT the same...you cant blame wgt for this can you??  And this does to some degree cause meter issues

Well for $39.99 per year or $4.95 per mo. You can play another popular online game that will cost you to upgrade your stuff and buy points. Or there's another Cheesy graphics one you can download 3gb to your hard drive and pay for membership. Both have worse meters to handle than this one. Those might be right up your ally. Then you'll really have something to complain about.

Oh yeah then there's an almost defunct one you can buy and download to your hard drive with 47 courses for $29.99. That one plays great but the graphics aren't as nice and there is almost no one to play multi online games with.

OR you can play the best one for your Buck called wgt and take the time to learn and maybe if your nice some other kind players will help you along the way.

Then there's the last option....Don't play at all because bytching and griping in the forums isn't going to improve your game one iota.

Well Mr. Swaded and the rest of the kiss pants cheer leading crew. It`s what is called Vem/ deviation. If you type it in the search box, you will find many threads on the topic. Yes I have been playing for awhile now.  In fact , a little bit longer than you if not mistaken. I do have 449 cdp Master tier lvl 91. I am just a casual player, and I play for fun. This topic is nothing new, but with only 7 posts you wouldnt know that. So let me help you out. The vem/ deviation is what alters your game when playing. It causes dropped shots, short putts, provides false green reads, wind reads, and some cases , yardage as well. You would be playing even better than what you are without it.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                   Now ,W.G.T. says that they wont use it to alter your game, or go after you as an individual. But this is what it does when you start playing well .But you dont have to believe me . just search the topic and read for your self. Although my putting isnt spectacular, I am over 80% driving accuracy and over 60% GIR. So I can read pretty good. But I dont play to prove anything, as I have nothing to prove. In the future , I would suggest that you not get so worked up when you see a thread on the game.Dont take it personal. Happy Swinging

Its medically proven to relieve stress and tension. Nothing like a good old couch session to get things in perspective. So , when all else fails, Biiiiiiiaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaatch. Happy Swinging

The most un realistic part of this game, is not being able to recover your ball when you clearly can see it, 5 feet off the fairway, or it is sitting in 2 inches of water. That is, without a doubt, the cash cow built into the programming by WGT. It is totally wrong, un-excusable and out in the open stealing from the members. the rest of the dumb $hit, is the same thing that can happen in real golf. When you have a crappy meter, back off the shot and load again. Not always easy to do, but can save a lot of lost balls. I am not a WGT A$$ kisser by any stretch of the imagination, but have learned how to limit my monetary losses. I still suck at this game, but still enjoy a few rounds with my friends and total strangers each evening. Anybody who remembers my rants from a year or so ago, has to be shocked to see me still here. Takes time to learn to enjoy this game, as well as time to realize just what it is. WGT is a business, if they make 200 million a year, who cares. Play free and get what you, or pay up and get a little more. My career winnings are compliments of tiering up, and winning a few cents in old CC tourneys. The winnings never matched the entry fees. Play a few AS rounds, and just enjoy the friendships.

Like the saying "Old Dogs can't do new tricks". No I am not calling you a Dog. You are on here since 2010 and still an amateur. That right there says why. Maybe you play a little more and practice, it would help.

This is one reason this forum is not much fun to be in. If you have to do that, then you must not get out much.

maybe you just need to stay in more and practise. :)

as for the game in general.....I think it's very realistic, remembering it's only a game....WGT have done a great job and are always trying to make improvements.

Thank you for all the reactions on my post.

I did not plan to burn down the site or create a bad atmosphere. Nor am I sorry for myself or too supied to learn.

But  thank you for all your advices.

I am afraid that the intention of my post may have been misunderstood a little. At least, I think that some of the answers suggesting that a whole lot of technical issues caused by a bad internet connection or wrong browser should be the reason. I don't think so.

But I still miss WGT's answer as to why I cannot stop my balls on green even when I to the letter follows WGT's instructions. And why a perfectly hit ball , taking into account the wind and the lie etc.. suddenly becomes truncated when there is sand or water on the way to the green.

But I look forward to learning from more experienced players out there.

But never mind, this is apparently the way the game is, as long as you play with the standard gear. Just hope when I spent some money on clubs and balls that things get better.
