    Dear WGT

Can someone please explain to me why it takes over 17 days to pay out a credit prize for a monthly tournament win.

I am completely mystified at how difficult this seems to be.

    Good question Paul.

Icon mentioned somewhere about the monthly tournaments being collated manually, hence the delay - no idea why this should take so long though.

I'm still waiting on an answer from WGT regarding time-frame for the payout from the October Multi-round, and the same question was raised for Septemeber's. To be fair, I checked the FAQs and it does state payout may take 2-4 weeks, but for those waiting on the Credits to purchase equiments, enter RGs / MPC's etc, it must be pretty frustrating.

Can the payouts not be set-up to pay immediately like RG's and CC Tournaments?

Surely it should just be automated, it cant be that difficult and one less thing to think about, although might means cutting someone's hours :(

    It's in the FAQs-

"How will I be notified if I win a prize?

You will be notified by WGT if you have won a prize. Please make sure you register with a valid e-mail address. Your entry will be void if we cannot verify your e-mail address and contact you. You can update your email address by going to your Contact Info page. Be sure to click the "Update" button at the bottom of the page when you are done.

Why haven't I received the credits or been contacted about the prize I won?

After a tournament ends, we need to verify the scores. You will not receive your tournament trophies, credits, or prize notification until we are finished verifying the scores. This may take up to 2-4 weeks after the conclusion of a tournament. If you have not heard anything from us after one week, please check the Spam folder of your email to see if any notifications from us were caught there. You can also contact us via our online form one week after the end of a tournament to check the status."

Verification process, moving winners to the next prize up if a cheater is found or winner can't be verified, whatever. It all takes time.

Esssy-This thread started at one o'clock in the morning here in California on a Saturday and your post was at five in the morning. I think Icon should be allowed to get some sleep. I'm sure a reply will be forthcoming at a reasonable hour here. As it is I think Icon checks in here on weekends in addition to regular business hours just for the love of the game.

srellim234, sure it's in the FAQs and I mentioned the 2-4 week period in my post, but that's not at question here - more why the Monthly Tournaments take so much longer to payout than other tournaments? It would appear because they are worked out manually, but as myself and TAP queried, could this not be done automatically? I'm assuming the weeky's payouts are worked out in a similar way, but they normally to be fair payout in 2-3 days, not 2-3 weeks.

That's definitely a legitimate question for WGT staff. Have you asked them directly through an email or a post directly on Icon or Pizza's wall? They may or may not respond to a forum thread.

Remember, too, that an answer may not be forthcoming until the business office opens on Monday and other issues have been dealt with.

No, I must admit I haven't - I'm not on a crusade or anything over this - but it does seem like a point worth discussing seeing as it's brought up quite often. You're right it's probably worth a wall post...

Yes, I appreciate it's the weekend so I'm not expecting an answer straight away...

    Cheers, take it easy.
