I did some searching and couldn't find anything about this, so lets see how well I did my searching.

When you go to join a group, is there somewhere on the screen that tells you which 9 holes you are joining to play on? It tells you the course and if its 18 holes, but doesn't say anything about which 9 your going to play.

Am I missing something, am I blind or is this just Russian roulette we play?

Most of the time I don't care which holes I play but sometimes I would like to know so I can pull out the right notes while waiting for everyone to load.

Hey RS..when you hit Join group...go down to the holes option...it'll give you 3 dif options..front 9..back 9 and 18...and w/ course option you can of course figure out what you'll be playing.

I know you can choose what 9 you want to play on. I was wondering how to find out which 9 is chosen if you join a group when you have 'any' chosen for the holes. There is nothing on the 'you have joined round' window that tells which nine you are going to play.

It will indicate if it is 18 holes and it tells you what course, but not front or back.

I'm pretty sure it's listed once you join the round, somewhere on the right hand side above the chat window, iirc.

sometimes i get dropped into a 18 hole round, which usually results in me scrambling to hit the cancel button (especially if it's a hack or amateur tier player).

The act of choosing "ANY" in your search is saying..."I'm fine with whatever."  So why would you be bothered by this anyway  ? As Kosie previously said ; specify your desired 9.

It's not, marioh. It just says the course name, number of holes and game format  but not if it's front or back.

I sent WGT an e-mail about this just last week.    All they have to do is add the words "Front" or "Back" after the course name.     If you are the Host, you get to pick the course and which Nine to Play.     If you join a group, you have no way of knowing which Nine has been chosen by the Host.

I'm just wondering why, when you click on join group and set your prefs to any holes, that when a group comes up to join why it can't tell you if your going to play the front or back on that course? It tells you if your going to play 18 holes but nothign for 9.

My suggestion, since this is the suggestion board, is to have the front or back show on the window for the group you are about to join. Its just a cosmetic thing, not something i am complaining about.

If you want to play a specific 9 holes, then instead of joining a group just click on "create group" and choose the course and front or back 9. Then your problem will be solved. See how easy that was?

The problem with that is you have to pick a specific course and wait. If nobody wants to play what you picked you sit there.
