Please implement some kind of penalty for players who quit on their own during play. I get so tired of players leaving after one or two holes.I really like your product and have enjoyed the other people that I have played with.

                                                                                             Thank You,

                                                                                             Bill H.

I vote for rewarding quitters not punishing them .. I love it when everyone quits and leaves me all alone to finish a round.   In fact I wish it would happen every time in a Match Play Challenge game.

Think of how great it would be in real life.   It's a beautiful afternoon, you feel like getting in a round so you head to your local muni course and they match you up with 3 people who are so annoying you want to hit them with your driver instead of hitting your golf ball.   They hit a bad shot or 2 ...maybe make a double bogey and decide to quit ... leaving you to play your round quickly, in peace and quite, enjoying the lovely day.

Of course ... playing alone I am always tempted to roll the ball, fluff it up in the rough, maybe hit a 2nd shot or 2nd putt.    Unfortunately this turns me into a cheater ---- but that is a topic for a different thread.

How about the following...rather than rewarding the quitter, let's reward the "finisher"...every round completed is rewarded with a TBD number of credits...HB3

Ahhh .. a man who thinks out of the box ... a glass is half full guy ... excellent suggestion.  Probably fraught with issues that I'm not smart enough to think about but .. I love it.

I'm just going to go out on a limb here, take a shot in the dark.  My best guess is that the folks who are complaining about the quitters are in the process of beating the other player when he/she quits... and they'd like the full closure ego trip that goes with whomping their opponent for the full round.  (I'd say roughly 90% of those complaining about the quitters are leading in the match)

If someone quits on you then you can still finish your game if it was going well.  And I'm thinking the quitter probably wasn't the best of company... talking, chatting, complimenting anyway.  So what's the big loss?

I infer from the position you've taken that you find it acceptable to agree to participate without any sense of obligation to complete what you've begun!

I'll go out on another limb...If one invites another or is invited by another to join in any endeavor, I believe it reasonable to anticipate that those participating have joined/invited with an intent to complete the endeavor.   Simply seems like the "right" thing to do!

I would ask that everyone consider treating their playing partners on the WGT, just as they would IRL...HB3

I don't really care if someone quits after the first or ninth hole, but I fully agree with HB3 with the invitation part.

If you're going to invite me to a multi player game, I expect the host to make it to the ninth hole tee (or 18th if it's the back 9).    I don't care if they don't post the score, at least make it to the last hole is all I ask.  Anything less than that (barring an emergency) is poor form and a waste of my time.   I'll also think twice before accepting any subsequent multi player game requests from that same player.
