Quite simply you need to be brilliant at putting. Tee to green my game is pretty much always the same. If i shoot 53/54 then i've putted really well.

We all have rounds where we are on fire and knockdown putts from good distances.

But, wouldn't you say it's about your approach shots being more accurate so you have better looks at bird?

During an 18 hole round i'll probably put the ball within 6ft away 12 times and knock the putt in. The other 6 times i'll be outside the 6ft and miss all the putts. I'll shoot 60. If all those putts outside go in then i've shot 54. It's all about the putting, trust me.

Being outside 6 feet has a direct correlation with your approach shot.

Nobody puts it within 6ft on every approach. If you need to be within 6ft to guarantee a birdie then we come back to being a good putter again. Low scoring players (good putters) don't mind being 15ft away because they're confident they can knock it in.

Club upgrade helps a lot but it's all about PUTTING!!!!!!!!   the top players here 1 putt most every hole. That's what separates them from the rest of us.

I don't know. Seems like one has to put the ball in the hole where ever one can.

If anyone knows the secret let me know I'm all ears or eyes or whatever.

There is no mention of G20's by anybody, are they that mediocre.I tried the R 11 driver and 3 wood this weekend and I am seriously contemplating making a change.I could handle the faster meter pretty well, and saw a big difference in distance. The R 11 irons meter seems a lot faster then the woods, will I be able to handle them.I'm almost level 90,and I gotta make a decision.

Yes, you will be able to handle speed for irons!

Do it - play enuff so you can get them for a Christmas gift to the most important person in your life.

I don't know what it takes as I have never shot in the low 50's, but an educated guess is if my putting was 6 - 10 putts better then Yes, I would shoot low to mid 50's.

    It really is that simple.
