My point being they let everyone know prior to just pulling them and giving anyone a chance to cash them in. If you have them cash them in ... simple...

Stop crying about the gift cards going away ... atleast they told you . If you want one then get it before 2013 . gezzzus

It's easy for you to say that, but you don't have a high amount of credits only for the gift cards to be taken away.

    I would not worry...

The Elite collection is how WGT really make their money. If there was no feasible way to cash out or nothing worth while (gift card), people would have enormous amounts of useless credits and they would inevitably end up giving them away to friends, cc members, random gestures or donations in community tournaments.

Redistribution of wealth by the high earners is very scary for WGT, the top ten players could pretty much fund the regular paying community. Therefore; WGT incentivise the best few players to accumulate many other regular credit buyers credits, WGT then receive these credits back from one source for a fraction of their sale value. Hence why the elite collection is vital and i believe, will be expanded. Anything bought for credits on the Elite collection is massive profit for WGT, as the credits were initially purchased or surveyed/watched, in which WGT made 100% profit. To then the Elite collection, where they buy your credits back, but at 2% and lower buy back fee...its madness, but its not, because of how many hands the credits go through before.

If you look at average playing Legends and Tour legends who make a bit, but not much, or at least never enough to think of a gift card, say they have a fluctuating balance of between 5000-50000 credits, you will probably find these players are the most generous, as what can they really do with these credits? The top earners i find are a lot more prudent with their credits, as they are seeking these gift cards etc. This elite collection can kind of hamper the game indirectly for 99% of players, if it did not exist, WGT would be a lot more of a community game.

With the release of higher stakes mp games and high stakes ready gos more people are cashing out, which is great for WGT(as credits were bought sometime) and the seller. But in big picture terms; encourages cheating, multi accounting, sandbagging and also stops the natural generosity of most people.

I believe they will also soon add less expensive credit items to the elite shop, targeting the avG-high earning player now as well, its all $ for The Tour.

*300,000 $ initial purchase (buyers) to cash out 500 $ (seller)
Actually it's 300.000 crs for 500 $ (not counting the circulation profits AKA rake)

I don't see the "main bargain" here.

Of course, a lot of credits "return home" at the tremendously low rate of 1 : 6, but this is the only time when hard cash actually leaves the company, besides the small no. of lucky winners of real trips and such. Otherwise, the credits stay in the pool like swimmers in public baths - paddling around, doing no harm, causing small costs only, like water filters or server maintenance. Plus, they are subject to steady credit flow, balls, equipment, rake...

After eight circulations subject to the rake, 300.000 credits are melted down to 50.332, compare!

Furtheron, we may see it as a coincidence that the only measure which the company has taken against those grabbing more than their fair share (sandbaggers, multiaccounters) is one limiting the success of the latter as well as limiting the exodus of hard cash for the former - don't we do so?
