Flyinturtle:had some trouble getting out match in but finally did and i got lucky and won 2 up. corwyn was a gentleman and plaid great. ps vvcap is not working so i cant gat a screen cap of the score card but results should be on my profile.
We certainly did have trouble getting together... We had completely incompatible schedules. But in truth, luck had nothing to do with Tony's win... He's a real gent, and an excellent player. It was a pleasure to watch his skills in action.
We managed 3 holes a week and a half ago, the first 2 shared birdie/par, and me stealing the 3rd with a second birdie, and then it took us until now to finally finish the game.
I still thought I had a chance at the 6th (Kiawah's 17th), when a late ding almost sent Tony's tee shot into the water, but his chip from the fringe was perfect for a beautiful birdie. I couldn't reach the green on #8, but almost holed my wedge approach... but it wasn't enough as Tony's real putting skills came to light here with a gorgeous 19ft birdie putt, followed by another from 13ft at the last to end it in style.
I was just delighted to last as long as I did (11 days, lol!), knowing I'd have to putt out of my skin just to stay in the game.
