    Hi,

A fairly new player who is enjoying this site very much. I have a rating of just under 70, an I would like to know what you need to get below to become a Master.

    Regards.

    Hi Peter,

There isn't an exact number as the number of rounds you play and the frequency of play will also affect how your average is calculated, but most players will crack the Master Tier somewhere between 64 and 66.

    That's an interesting revelation.

    65.74 for me Pete.

Despite the fact that I frequently suck. lol

That seems to be the time it most frequently occurs mason, almost every member I've talked to hit it around 66.5.

Reading the forums, maybe I shouldn't be in such a hurry to get there. New clubs needs, faster meters, faster greens. A whole new ball game, so to speak.

i got to master at 65.2...as pro i was shooting -3  -4 very consistantly then hit master my average shot up to 70 getting used to the new clubs, tees  etc...OH! and oakmont didnt help lol.. but i also post every round, even the real bad ones unlike others.....take your time in the pro's and enjoy it...master is tough as i found but once you get used to it scores tumble again....
