If WGT programmers can come up with a "putter pal", why can't/don't they come up with a "shot pal"?

I think should have shot pal or the percentage meter just in practice mode so we can have a better idea how much power to use specially for a new club..

But dnt want this PAL during Rank mode game it should have only for practice session..

    ......

    ..SUM..

My math is by the seat of my pants. KISS. That's my method. The less thinking the better. And for me, it eases the pain as well; the not thinking that is.   I await your wrath.

No wrath here, that's just playing by feel, which I do too. If you play this game long enough you get mental memory much like athletes get muscle memory from doing something over and over. It gets to the point where you look at the yardage, wind and elevation and get a "feel" for what the shot is going to do. Get in the right church with some simple math, grab the club you know is right, sense how the wind is going to affect the shot and aim accordingly. It doesn't have to be exact, just close. (Holing a fairway approach is an accident.)  Knowing your clubs is imperative.

What I like best about playing this way is the expectations don't get crushed because my slide rule said aim here and hit to this line and you wind up someplace else other than where you expected the shot to go. Deviation becomes part of the game naturally and you never know if it was your mishit or the deviation that caused the result. Just go find the ball and do it all over again. Lot less aggravation and with a WGT ball you're always near where you expect to be. :-)

To each their own, but I find the use of such devices sad; not cheating as some have implied, just sad.

Your stats and score history says you're not a competitive person.   You play very few tournaments and relatively few match play or AS.  So you play for your own enjoyment.  Nothing wrong with that.  Just not everyone's cup of tea.

If you were competing in RGs, tournaments and MPCs you'd be competing against players who do use something to judge their power.  You'd be surprised how many do that.

Its our way of having fun.

Why not, just another revenue stream for WGT, if they build it some will use it.

Yeah, sure, look at the golf bags, not benefit for the game, but they buy it, some may feel an urge to buy something just for the sake of buying. No doubt some keep piling debt.
