OK- most have been waiting for the next new thing--with a meter speed that matches that of the R11s Driver . 3 WD. and at last its here.

    RocketBladez!!!!!

Close WGT but don't expect to set any sales records with this one! If only you had taken my suggestion 8 months ago--I had the backing of a hundred top players on WGT  who said they would be all over a "top performing" iron set- and willing to pay 5,000+  creds to get it. Anyhow I rented the Rbladez, played 4hrs with them-no woods just irons and?

So here's  where you went so wrong:

    1. The yardage gaps are all wrong-must have a 115-120 PW and a 225+ 3i. No need for a 145.175,205 (or anythng else that ends in a 5)

    2. You've taken off some spin--bad move Top players want to throw darts-wtih a tale wind these irons have no chance of getting close to target.

    3. Trajectory-"High" well there's a point of diminishing return-like playing windy conditions and adjusting with spin. We want a Med-High club or even better a 3rd option to punch or full--like a knockdown (different from punch)

    4. Shot shaping?? when do you plan to "insert" this option??????

Here's how it would work--when equipped with the "NEW" 21st Century irons-you just move the "spin" dot inside (to mimic a inside out swing) this produces a hook or draw!

Then you move the spin dot out for a fade-presto--for Legends only!!!!

    5. Distance: into the wind these clubs balloon --very inconsistent. And they don't have "extra carry" as advertised.

BTW-THEY ARE NOT THE #1 IRONS ON PGA-if you want the data for that believe me I have it--for those interested in such---- just google "what's in the bag" it will tell you what every PGA Tour player is playing..

Summary Good try WGT, but no cigar---atleast you got the meter speed right. good job!

    Yours truly,

    Lisa aka Mona

As I said in the main thread for this club they weren't targeting high level players which are their most dedicated. They would have had boatloads of these players buy them in a heartbeat. Burner 3.0's.

    We want a Med-High club

We do?  What do you do on BPB5 approach? Olympic2? Holes like that? High trajectory is a must. Med/High trajectories need major spin to stop when facing these elevated situations because you have to club up to get on and on Campionship greens this would be a nightmare. Making it so they stop is unrealistic.

well written mona, i like your spin dot idea for draw-hook and fade-slice,  would be a great feature to hold the ball in high winds.

I'm not a practicing real golfier but ... all you wrote Lisa sounds good ... only thing I like of these irons really is the slower meter so far ... and I agree with Kurt, that spin's idea would be a great addition for sure, thx for the post !

    Except a 115 and a 225 eh ?

Med / high - not good.

    Shot shaping idea works..

As somebody who used burners since lvl 79,  I can assure you that the bladez have identical specs/handling to the burners.  The only difference is meter speed, and it's nice to have all my clubs the same.

I'll cross the 90+ r11 irons bridge when i get to it lol.

I love the idea of spot shaping for draws/fades as well.

I tried the R11 irons during the free rental weekend, and the meter is simply too fast, unless using Max balls, which I don't wanna do. The 12h meter is bearable with Nike balls and probably good with Cally slow meter balls (haven't tried yet, but that should be equivalent to G20 with Nike). I loved G20, but could increasingly not stand their lacking accuracy (4 dots), so the Bladez make up for that. Sure the iron distances are a con, but I'd rather have 3i with 220 instead of 215 than PW 110 instead of 125.

R11 irons are better than Bladez if you can manage the meter, worse otherwise. I think the Bladez are targeted not at the very best or not the very best players but at the players who have problems with meter to have a reasonable alternative.
