One of the great things about online/computer golf is the ability to see the golf ball in flight! I like to watch my ball fly, from the club thru the air to the landing and the finally the roll!

This game does not offer that function!

Please please improve your camera/view angles. If you do nothing else to this game, do that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thats because other games are CG.  This is real life photos, so unless you got a helicopter and a photographer, its not going to happen.  We get a few fairway shots that will show the ball landing, thats all we are going to get.

Yes it does, JoJeffo-you probably have that option turned off. Look at the GAME OPTIONS tab in your game browser. There is an option for camera pans that I believe is defaulted to off. Turn it on and you will see what you want. GL

Excuse me if I'm wrong Jim, but I believe he is talking about the camera angle(s) that actually follow inches behind the ball in the air, from the hit to the final roll. If you've ever played the old console Tiger Woods games or any of the Hot Shots Golf series, you'll know what I'm talking about.

Sadly, the game is made up of thousands of photographs that combine to make a "realistic 3-d experience" (no sarcasm). But something like that would be impossible, hopefully you understand why.

And JoJeffo,in all fairness to WGT, this game does attempt to mimic "real golf".  It's not too often you get to travel through the air with a bird's eye view of your ball.  As mammals and mortals we're relegated to watching all the action from terra firma.

Then  why  on most putts  you are not looking at the putt from directly behind but slightly off to the side  like you were another golfer or the caddie? I have an issue with those camera angles.

Hi Wizbang... that's because every single angle on all the courses is a hi-definition photograph.  For each course WGT records thousands and thousands of images... but there are (and always will be) a few angles they don't record.

One of the best of Links was the ability to have a ball tracker, which is the same thing you get in  a replay shot. You had the option to turn it on or off and it really came in handy at times. I think this would be a nice feature for WGT to add.
