    fmagnets:

Wasn't Anke Huber german? I think they played in a final, but not at exactly the same time as Becker/Stich.

Yes, I think she is german but I'm not sure she ever got to a final lol

She wasn't fit to polish Steffi's shoes imo

Used to love watching Steffi play, running around her forehand, awesome to watch and she's cute too :-)

So Ducati, was Fogarty 1998 right too?

And what do you think about waiting until we both make L94 to get an R11s each?

    Ducati916:

    Oldbayrunner:

Not trying to start an argument but at the time Martina Navratilova won that Us Open She was Listed as a US citizen and shows as a winner from the US

    1986 US Open – Women's Singles

United States Martina Navratilova defeated Czechoslovakia Helena Suková 6–3, 6–2

Therefore the only country with all finalists from the same Citizenship is the 1982 Wimbleton.

Just thought I would make mention.

Thanks Bay...I think I worded the question as...players "from"....picky I guess, but, I wanted to make sure it was correct to the wording in the question

LOL.. Nope you worded it correctly and a great job of it too. Through me right off ..LOL

    Fun quiz Thx

Question was which European country were they from, not where were they playing out of.

Thanks Lizard. Perhaps if Ducati doesn't want to wait until we are both at L94, he can gift you something instead - you did get 5/6!! I'm always happy for a ball top-up, but the R11s driver and 3wd are the only things left I'm playing for.

I'm happy with the clubs I have, you deserve the prize mate!

A sleeve of callie z slow meter if I got anything right but I was only in it for the trivia, I LOVE trivia lol

By the way...the bonus question answer is Carl Fogarty in 98...the last year for the 916....the 996 won in 99...so, we have a doube winner....who I'm now going to put in a bind.....he'd asked to wait for the prize until I could buy the R11s driver for him....I'll let him wait for the R11S...and take the balls....or, continue in the spirit of the contest and gift the 2 sleeves to someone else and get the R11S when I can buy it.

    BUGGER :-)

I only got 1 number wrong 996 not 916 lol

I absolutely LOVE this idea for a giveaway and I will be doing something similar very soon..as much as I applaud the efforts of others giving away to "1st to reply", this is much more my thing :-)

That's so kind of you Ducati. I'll happily take some balls, and perhaps you can gift some more to other good respondants in this quiz instead of the driver, as it was a tough one. Cally higher level slow meters are the only ones I can manage, due to old age and general incompetence.

Judging by our rate of play, I'll be at L94 months before you, and I'm not sure I can bear the wait :-) Perhaps I can get you the driver when you get there instead?

Let me guess, you also have the R11 irons lol

Need the slow meter to have any hope in hell of dinging the buggers :-)
