i'm surprise no one hasn't answered already. depends mostly on you pocketbook or credits you have.( don't need the details.)  most will go with 3 wedges and loose the hybrid. check out some of the tourney leaders and see what they have in their bags.

Thanks Bypass, took on~board what you said , looked at leader boards & lots of them seem to be using starter clubs. Reason i ask is because i don't really trust the ratings on the pro  shop  page, i bought the R 11's on the basis they would be 'forgiving' i've not had them long but already noticed that if i barely miss the ding , they fly off one side or the other .....see you use them too, wondered if it was just me ? think i'll take my time and just purchase the best i can, when i can. leaving the shortest till last as i'm struggling in the sand ! ................ Merry Christmas to you & every body out there in WGT land ....

Hi Rob, I hope you love the R11s, like all equipment it does take time to adjust to the meter speed etc.

The starter wedges are probably the worst clubs and scoring well with them is hard. It really depends on your budget but the Cleveland and ATV wedges are great (Cleveland have better spin). The downside is at 495cr they are not cheap. The cheaper option is the Ping Tour available at level 41. 200cr  each.

But IMHO the Clevelands will last much longer before you will need to upgrade. the downside is you should buy 3 wedges and dump your hybrid. This will save you a lot of shots!

When buying wedges look at your pitching wedge and work backwards so you have  even distance increments. I have seen some players with great equipment but the wedge is the same distance as the pitching wedge - pointless duplicating!

IMHO, The level 41 & 42 Ping Tour Wedges at 200 credits are the best value. The 64W has been my favorite club since the day I got it. Good luck.

    Loose the hybrid and the..

    ATV L39 64*

    Cleve L29 60*

    Cleve L27 56*

Will give you a good spread of yardages of 50yrds / 75yrds and 90yrds, to go with your R11 110pw

Don't neglect to use the punch shot on your wedges, it's like having 3 extra clubs in your bag !!

I'd replace the 3w too, it's awful in all regards inc: length.

If cost is an issue then the Pings avaliable soon are not bad clubs, just not as good, imo GL

    I used these:

    Tour W 56° Wedge (L41+)

    Tour W 60° Wedge (L42+)

    Tour W 64° Wedge (L42+)

All in they're only 600 credits and I was still using them at Legend. They are a few levels above you but worth the wait, with the callaway 'is' ball they will stop dead, only the 64 degree has bigish backspin.

I agree with the posters above; drop the hybrid and if possible buy a new 3-wood.

I have those 3 wedges too but found out today that the Taylor Made ATV wedges for 495 credits are slightly better with a half a dot more forgiveness and they seem to lean more on higher loft then med/high like the above Ping wedges. Buy just one to try it out like I did with the video credits I accumulated.

    TaylorMade ATV 60° Wedge (L39+)

TaylorMade ATV 60° Wedge (L39+)I bought this one to try out first
    Happy Golfing!

I will agree and confirm with almost all that has been stated here. First, lose the hybrid. With the rated distance of your 3 iron, the gap between that and your 3 wood is negligible and the hybrid just gets in the way. That being said, do some homework and some comparisons on the wedges.

Someone gifted me a TaylorMade ATV 64 degree, a long time ago, when they saw me struggling with my flops...man, I was hooked right then and there. (no pun intended, lol) I did the research and decided to fill the gaps, same way as explained above, basically ranging from 50, 77, 90 yds. I wasn't trying, but it worked out that all the wedges I chose were ATV's and I'm very happy they are because of the other factors, as mentioned. They have a sleight advantage in forgiveness and trajectory.

Ultimately, as with all these posts about balls and clubs, it comes down to your budget and preferences, but thankfully, WGT has provided enough selection and information to make good choices that will benefit your own personal style and game.

    HAPPY HITTING!!!

i did the same as mentioned above i started with the 64 deg atv - loved it stops on a dime with full bs but you won't get much more than 50 yards out of it. that alone took strokes off my game and eventually i filled in the gaps with the rest of the wedges. have fun on the greens !!
