I noticed that the Ghost Mantra putter and the Ghost Spider putter have the same stats yet the prices vary by 400C.

Is there anything besides stats to judge a club or at this point just go with the cheaper one?

Thanks for your help, the advice and help given on these boards has been a great help.

I am assuming you are looking at the TaylorMade Ghost Manta Putter Level 30+ and the TaylorMade Ghost Spider Putter Level 35+. You didn't specify, but these two have matching stats and the price difference is 495c.

When I see something like this, I tend to defer to the one with the higher Level rating, in this case, the Spider putter, figuring...hoping...anticipating that maybe WGT has given it a sleight edge somewhere that doesn't show up in the stats. Who knows, maybe it's just my imagination.

If you are leaning towards that price range, then why not consider the Daytona Putter 2011 (L55+) Do a comparison between the two and you'll see that the Daytona comes out on top.

It's getting to level 55 that might take awhile and my putting could use help.

I'm level 27, I might just keep going with the starter putter and wait for now.

He's only L27, so an L55 putter is probably not a consideration at the moment.

The two putter's will putt exactly the same. WGT have presumably offered the more expensive one at 5 levels earlier so that if you desperately want to improve your putting sooner you have to pay extra to achieve it.

The biggest difference for me would be the increments. I rented the Manta during the free rental weekend and did not like its increments at all. The slower meter speed might attract some people(Edit)( I didn't remember that the level 35+ Spide has the same slower meter speed.)  As far as I see all the Ghost Spiders are much better. The Manta in my opinion is not worth 495 credits more than the Level 35+ Ghost Spider. If anything they should be reversed.

There are many people who use the starter putter all the way to the top. I used the starter to master and got the level 36 ghost.for the 495 i think. Never looked back.

Very astute. This has been going on since the Satin wedges although nobody ever really confirmed it from WGT. I saw it firsthand, myself, in the Satin 90 and 110 wedges. Same specs as all the rest but definitely played to a superior level.  :-)

I just might go with this and improve other clubs in my bag.

    Thanks for your help guys/gals.
