On the swing meter there is a line before the ding line and one after. When you are at the top of your swing these lines start to move toward the ding line.

What are they there for, what does it mean when they start to move , and what is their purpose?

Those lines are your forgiveness the more outward they are more forgiveness, the closer to the middle less. wide is good narrow not so good.   Fairways&Greens

And you don't gain anything (like precision) with loosing this forgiveness ?

So in other words, it's a hurry up and shoot thing.

Why would you want to lose any forgiveness, makes no sense why they would even incorporate that .

    Confused

Those lines can also be used to click on with shots.  Like a hook or slice, your really hitting straight but with good aim is useful on certain holes.

it's simply a function that illustrate that the high end clubs, Bladez & R11's, have got a smaller sweet spot on the club face .. the closer those lines are towards the ding line, the less margin for error u've got on missing the ding .. with the high end clubs u'll sacrifice some forgiveness for increased accuracy, spin, distance & faster meter ..

so if u wanna have a good result with the top irons u need to ding your shot or be very close to dinging it .. with the lesser irons you can be off ding to a larger extent without being penalized too much for missing the ding .. the penalty for missing the ding by too much with the top irons is a deviation away from your target area and a loss in power .. less so with the lower lvl irons
