Speed Boost Gift - :(

  With me, I barely had time to apply my body English when I had to set up for the next shot.  No fun for me.  Speed boost is no help when you can't get out of the weeds..........

  Two points from me about the speed boost.

  1.  It is the holiday season, so the speed boost may help many players who are pressed for time and still trying to get the consecutive days played bonus in.

  2.   It appears that many people cannot find the menu/game settings/options button.  This will bring them to the forums to find out how and that the forums can be a great place to find help.

   

  Thanks WGT,   I happen to like the speed boost on occasion just to spice things up a bit. It can be a blast to turn it on in the middle of a match just to mess with your opponent.  :-)

  +1   .... What a useless gift - give me anything but that. What a useless idea. It advertises that it speeds things up, but nowhere does it say that it throws off your putts!

  Menu > Game Settings > Ball Speed Boost = None

  I hit my first shot today and thought the ball was going to fly out of bounds haha but soon realised it was the speed boost.

  THANKS!!! This saved me! Halfway through my 100 (crappy) hits and putts, I had to come searching the forums for therapy. Now, I'm freeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee of this curse! :)

  Great....half your golfers say they've turned their shot booster off.....but no one has said how they did it.  Will someone please tell us how to do it!

  Are you kidding? Of course they have, but let's try again. In your gameclient (playing) window, click on menu (right under your name) and then "game settings). The display options open and "speed boost" is right there on top. Just set it to "none" instead of "regular".

  Here's the part I don't get. Why even promote this feature? It just makes another useless feature (wich sells much better) even more useless. I'm talking about vapor balls. I see a ton of people spending extra cash on seeing the useless vapor trail, which becomes even more pointless, if you speed up the flight. So why would they even try messing with one of their biggest earners. It appears many more people are prepared to pay 10% extra just to see a trail (which I'll never understand) than there are those, who don't want any hang time at all.

  When your playing .. hit Menu / Options .. it's the very first option on the list is called Speed Ball Boost.   Click None.   Hope that helps.
