Haven't had an e-mail and definitely need to switch it off - there should be free credits for doing just that.

Whilst in game , go to options under the menu drop down list, untick off the appropriate box or if not in game, Menu - Game settings and do same.

WGT really out did themselves with this free gift. LOL
I find the speed boost extremely funny especially while playing uneven lies. It's like watching curveballs and sliders off the club. :)
