Best of Putting competition ?

  Can I suggest we get back on and stay on the original topic please:-

  In a WGT PUTTING COMPETITION should a player be allowed to use any other club than his PUTTER ?

  Especially when playing for credits ?

  All sensible on-topic replies appreciated.

  Yes, you could use a wedge on hole #2, but the simple fact is that it's harder to sink the ball with a wedge than with a putter - for me at least.

  Would you use a wedge on an actual golf course given the same situation? Probably not. Would you be allowed to? Yes.

  Putter's only, lol  no big  deal,  Aced all but no.2 with putter, maybe someday i'll ace no .2..

  I play the monthly comp all the time, and hole number 2 is the only hole i use the wedge on. I cant get anywhere near the hole when putting, so use the wedge to keep myself up there.

  Its been a while, but i just nailed the 8th hole putt for the 5th time:

  260 ft putt

  Best of luck to the guy, but a bit unfair if he was using wedges in a Putting Tournament.

  I use wedges on the green because is better than putter and is work's very well .You sholud try olso not to complain beause you can not do it.Dont forgot is best of putting shots.Everyone play with what can do better and that all.

  If the guys that have no clue how to do this would either learn it or quit b itching at us that know the shot, I would be happy! I spent months learning how to make it work and it is a legal shot.If the b itchers think it is easier than putting.... think again ! Or better stil, just try it and see how easy it is !

  So, if wedge shots are approved in the Best of Putting competition, then why don't WGT give you the red spin dot on your ball ?

  I score7,15 and it was only wedges hehehehe you can see on my profile

  Wow, these putts are like waiting for a bus. Sometimes they dont come, then you get 2 in 2 days, lol. Just got me my 6th 260 foot putt, happy days.

  260 foot putt 6th time overall.
