I don't know..the avatar character is at this point the most unrealistic and unmajestic part of the game. Adding more digital people would take away from the realism and feeling you get that you just hit a golf shot...as opposed to just clicked a mouse. To me a crowd and digital people would make it a better video game experience, I think the site is going for a golf experience.
