Make this game completely absurd, its too easy. I have been playing this game approximately 2 months and I already got my first round in the 50's, and this is using pretty sub standard equipment.

Getting high 50's for a pro golf player is like a once or twice in a lifetime achievement, it should not be this common place. The game proclaims to be 'the most realistic golf simulator', yet its nothing like real golf.

I joined a tournament earlier, NKF cadillac classic, its royal st georges with 18-21mph winds and tournament greens, I look at the leaderboard and there are a ton of people shooting in the low 50's in the most adverse conditions possible.

For me this ruins an otherwise excellent game, I think the best way to make this game harder would be to make clubs way less forgiving, fairways are too easy to hit, greens are too easy to hit, people with 70%+ GIR and 80%+ fairways hit, its just utterly ridiculous, there should be much more dependance on dinging every single shot or getting very very close.

This discussion may be primarily on gameplay and not so much about tournaments, but the gameplay affects the tournaments the most, this game needs a higher skillcap, its just way too easy at the moment, dread to think how easy it will be with top notch balls and lvl 90 R11's.

The game gets harder as you move up through the tiers. No matter how hard you make it though the cream will still rise to the top, whether that's with a score in the 50's or in the 70's.

Try the uneven lies in practice mode. That's a real challenge. Also, starting on Jan 1st there's going to be an Uneven Lies Tourney for players Master Tier and up. Be sure to enter that. Your juices should get flowing and the game certainly won't be so easy.

Hope to see you in the legend/tour legend tier very soon then Benny. It's a bit different from the back tee's when you're hitting 3/4/5 iron in to the par 4's instead of the wedges you're probably hitting now. Oh and don't forget the championship speed greens of course.

Oh yeah, and if you want a challenge laugh, try the uneven lies.

You guys are right, I feel like I should be eating humble pie right now, because I spoke way too soon. While its undeniable that the game is easier then real golf, I have to say having had the pleasure/displeasure of playing off the master tees onto tourney greens today, that my outlook is somewhat changed in the 'too easy' department.

Mainly made this post because I was posting decent scores in tourneys only to see people in the early 50's, even on tourney greens, was immensely frustrating to see idiotic scores like 52 which should simply not be possible.

I don't think tourney greens by themselves make the game incredibly difficult, it is more the having to hit longer irons into greens that adds the difficulty like you guys have said.

I look forward to eventually becoming a legend, thats making the assumption I am good enough, will be nice for the game to become challenging again, because at the moment its a walk in the park.

I played in an uneven lies best of par 5 the other day. I shot a 16 under par round and felt that I had just about done as well as I could do. Got a couple of longish putts, got myself out of trouble well etc. When the game result was posted in my profile I was pleased to see that I was lying in 2nd place. When the final list was posted I finished in 13th place. The winner shot an almost impossible to believe 22 under par which is a pretty good result for a normal best of par 5s round. The problem with these tournaments is that people have too much time to play their round. Maybe they have another profile which they can use to check out the shots. They can use their charts, historical data etc etc. A solution would be for WGT to limit the time allowed for the round. Professional golfers get penalized for slow play and it would be quite easy to program a limit. I would program at 90 seconds per shot. A par 5 best of for example would be 7 and a half minutes per hole, par 4, 6 minutes per hole etc. A par 4 tournament, allowing the full 90 seconds per hole would make a total of 1 hour 48 minutes. Some shots only take 10/15 seconds, players get birdies, eagles etc so reduce the total time allowed to finish 18 holes to 1 hour for example. The player can see in the corner of the screen his total time ticking down. If they go over the 1 hour limit, they are penalized 1 dropped shot per 1 minute over. It would hopefully cut out some of these ridiculous low scores and even it up for everyone involved. I´m not suggesting that they have to start and finish their round in the same session, they can leave and come back and the elapsed time would stop during their absence. Just my penny´s worth.

A few flaws in your reasoning there...

    1.  You are given just as much time as the other players have, you are more than welcome to input you data into a Supercomputer and wait for result:)

    2.  What happen if something comes up, a knock at the door, phone call, etc., before you mention "put a game pause button in"...then the button could also be used to do cals/look at notes/etc. .

Even though the game is not easy, there will always be people who score lower than others. There are others that have every hole mapped and take lots of notes on where to aim or what to use here and there. Maybe limiting the time to set shots in tournaments could help but still players would close the gameclient if they are running out of time and just hit Continue tournament... But I think 90 seconds is way too much to set up a shot. Personally I never need more than 30 secs.. but that's me.

Even WGT sells a notepad, putterpal, shotpal,etc.. to make it easy for you, sells clubs with ever better specs every few months and doesn't bother to pay attention to what most players say or think. I have had a putterpal for years and have never used it, well, wait.. I have used it just to get rid of it. But then it comes as a gift again....

I personally enjoy the challenge of "thinking" every shot and putt. I know I could shoot lower if I had taken notes all the way(and was able to click and stop meter where I want), but then I would feel like a robot. If I make it to the top 10, I am happy.. if not.. GRRR, but well, I SAY NO to taking notes other than experience and my intuition, but that is just me.

Someone cheats and uses a program or a chart? I don't care. If you feel ok with cheating, so be it. I have been accused of cheating though... but I no longer bother.

What a well chosen name. You must be naive if you don´t believe that some players will go to extraordinary lengths to lower their scores and this I´m afraid to say includes cheating.
