Have to say, really puts someone at a significant advantage- had an extremely nice round going through 9, then came back and gave back the birds on the back 9.  Given the constant disconnects- can't even set aside time to do the whole 18 at once and be assured of getting through the round.

Also- Survey engine is malfunctioning- I keep getting locked up every time I try to do a survey of late (not bounced- whole screen becomes disabled).

I was +2 through 12 in the Master tournament (thanks to a double on 9 when I couldn't figure out how to chip from a steep uphill lie), saved it, came back this morning, and discovered this bug.

And you know what? I like it! It makes me actually pay attention to the golf course and not to the little numbers on the heads-up display. It makes it feel more like a real round of golf; not even the best pros in the world knock it to two feet every time they have a 90-yard approach.

I finished with four birdies in the last six holes for a 70, and lipped out another 12-footer. Maybe with flat lies I could have gotten them a little closer to the pin, but that gets boring after a while.

As posted in Tournament Discussions !!

Got screwed in my 2nd round. After 3 holes I logged of and when I returned to finish the round, the lie indicator wasn't available. So it became a guessing game which obviously worked out as expected - Fantastically out of whack !! Eventually after trying to log off and on, clearing cache etc and nothing workng, I had to quit after a few holes 'cause it was ridiculous !!

I did submit a bug report, but it was somewhat upsetting after having a good 1st round and not being able  to post a final round :(

Aside from the lie indicator not appearing, the lies themselves are one giant bug.  The physics of these lies are ridiculously exaggerated.  A ball in the fairway, 1 inch below my feet will not fly 15-20 yds right if struck squarely.

WGT, before you decide to go the direction of implementing uneven lies into all games, please take a look at some other issues.

    1. Adjust the rough.  Make more lies that read 25-40, 10- 30, 25-50, etc.  Just make it a lot more random.  One should not be able to read a lie perfectly in the rough every time.  Making the rough more penal and random will bring scoring in check and put a premium on driving accuracy.
    2. Adjust the bunkers.  It's quite silly that you can advance a ball 120 yards farther from a 40 -50 rough lie than any bunker that doesn't have a huge lip.  You should also be able to spin the ball quite easily from bunkers, especially greenside.  Aside from Oakmont, where they furrow the bunkers, every real golfer with a shred of skill would much rather be in a bunker than deep rough.
    3. Ability to draw or fade the ball.  This has to be figured out if you want to go with uneven lies.
