Can anyone explain this so it makes some sense?

It seems more and more throughout my game that my clubs are hitting shorter and shorter.

Doesn't matter what the wind speed is or from what direction.

A 185 yd iron with a 9 mph wind pushing directly behind the ball goes 171 after hitting the ding with 100% power.

A 170 yd club hit INTO a 6 mph wind, again with 100% power and a ding hit goes 179 yd in the air.

My 280 yd driver smacks the ball 309 yds in the AIR with a 2 mph quartering wind and this is on a level fairway.

A putt 22' away with a 3" up slope rolls 37' after being hit on the 20' mark.

This is just 4 examples of the many examples that have happened lately. Almost seems the vem has decided to permanently move in.

Or is it because I'm close to the next tier?

I don't know why this is happening but I do know that it isn't because I mistakenly used a different club than the one I thought I had.

Thanks in advance to those who can make a little sense out of this.

I've had a few of those today. I had one where I was 215 yards to the pin with a slight breeze toward me. As I have a choice of a 240 or a 215 I thought I'd go with the 215 and risk being a couple of yards short. it pitched in a bunker on 185 yards.

    Thanks for your reply Courteneyfish,

Although I didn't mention that fact, almost all of the Iron shots that were way short landed in a bunker also.

    At least it wasn't water.

I have had the same problem. I just bought new clubs and I still have noticed the problem. I like this game but I think there are a lot of inconsistencies with it. The messed up meter is just one example. That is why I will not spend money on here. If things like this were fixed, what a game it would be.

The OP's question can't be answered with out all the lie, slope, green contour, etc info.

But quaker's? I can think of 1 possibility: players start a game with an expectation that it will be completed in x minutes (45 - 50 minute in my experience, for 9 holes). But alas! 2 players are those guys that take 60 - 80 sec per shot ... AND the game goes to extra holes.

Whatcha gonna do when suddenly you're looking at 1 hour+ for the game? And the boss has a meeting scheduled ... or your mate is putting supper on the table?

If it's me, I concede the hole/game when it's my turn. Some yahoos hit the red X up in the corner and close WGT.
