I'm about to invest in new equipment.

If I buy new stuff, do I get to keep the starter kit as well???

Hello and welcome to the forums!

Yes, you keep all of the equipment you own, until you sell it back to the pro shop. Let me know if you have any more questions :)

I bought the taylormade r11  iron set to try to improve my game but can't get to grips with the faster meter,so after 3 or 4 days thought i'd sell them back and was shocked to see i would only get 749 for them a loss of 2246 credits, why do they lose so much value when they are a virtual item.

You can rent them 1st, but unfortunately that outlay will not be recouped when actually buying the set (you gotta sort that out WGT)

And instead of selling them try a better set of balls to slow meter down ? or failing that G20s for you :))

He forgot to tell you that you only get about 25% of your original cost back when selling to the pro shop, and you can't give them to anyone either.

Have to agree here, 25% return on outlay is way too low. I'd say it would be fairer to grade the return on clubs depending on how long you've owned them, just a thought.

And yes, the rental is very high also and to allow no discount if you decide to purchase them is unfair.

    Rant over, happy golfing :)

I agree, persist with these irons. I have only had them a short time and at first had the same concerns about the meter speed. Use a Cally slow meter ball - not as much spin as the nikes but OK or try a Max ball for a really slow meter.

I won't complain about the resale price as quite simply, a real pro shop only gives you a fraction of the new price (regardless of their condition) and can also resell them with their margin on top. BUT I will once again join the masses that would like a credit from the rental price if you buy the clubs within a specified timeframe.

Not sure if this has been brought up before, i'm looking to upgrade my lower level G20's to either the higher level G20's or now the new Rocketblades, rental price against the purchas price do we not think should be deducted eg, rent the rocketblades then decide to purchase them, maybe the rental price could be deducted from the purchase price.

    Just a thought?

Note that you cannot sell the Starter clubs back to the Pro Shop.
