I am playing the Uneven Lies Invitational at Kiawah for the umpteenth time on Tournament greens, but just can't get to grips reading the breaks and dots at Kiawah.

For example I am on Hole #3 17 feet below ( 1 foot up )  the hole with 8 dots moving all over the place, like starting from the nearest dot to me, 1,2 and 3 are going right, dots 4,5,6 and 7 going left and dot 8 going right -all ffairly slowly.

I aimed 3 inches right and it went straight where i aimed - a miss

    Any tips guys ?

I played a few holes of it myself but threw the towel in as no way was it playing anything ike it normally does  and was worried it would throw my normal game out.

I would have as well had it been championship greens. Legends and above have that pleasure.

Anyway I squeezed a 68 out of it, so I'll settle for that.

Missed 2 sitters for birdies as well.

This green is notorious for the mapping discrepancies. Early advice about this and other greens on Kia was to memorize the putt. No kidding, that came from a top flight player and he was right. It's even worse with some of the new pins because of the views. It was the first real stroke course here and you can see what WGT's learning curve was like by how much better the greens got.

FWIW, you might remember what I thought was a turning point in the PGA  Championship for Tiger Woods-he missed a 4 foot putt on #3, Saturday late, that acted exactly like some of them do here. Ever since then I've wondered if the greens are actually right.  :-)
