    hpurey:
RG's for me, the few that I ever try and play, are there for just one thing, and that's to keep my virtual ball stock filled.

    hpurey:
I have never expected to be able to get one of the gift cards from the elite collection, so from my standpoint,  it makes no matter to me.

That's all I ever wanted as well H.

But what get's me are some that are so vocal in this thread complaining...sure, some have a real beef, those that have the credits saved, but then there's many I recognize as just a few weeks ago mentioning that it takes forever to earn enough credits to get a sleeve of balls.

I wonder why those players are even ranting here?

I guess those that don't have a horse in the race, just need something new to complain about,

    Jim-

I saw this this morning as well and was wondering the same thing.

It turns out to be a clickable link and it looks like WGT has their foot in the door there. They're called a free online golf game in the TRENDING banner but you click it and it takes you here.

Maybe there was something good in this update.........

This thread has been a very interesting read. 30 pages after two days demonstrate a lot of concern by the target audience.

Whenever there is an upgrade of computer systems at my work, there are a lot of upset people, teething problems to be sorted and eventually it smooths out.  I'll start with a positive - the new course looks great and like a lot of the CTTH courses I just wish we could play a stroke play game there, even if it was just nine holes.

I have not looked at the elite collection in over a year because it is so out of my league. Which doesn’t mean it shouldn’t exist - but the valid point has been raised if "you don’t want these things then don’t buy them".

I think the dissatisfaction stems from the wgt’s nerve to request such prices. The wealthiest members of a society may accept the need to pay more for items for a variety of reasons (eg better quality of service, quality of product, the urge to not be at the same place as those they perceive to be lower class etc) – but even the very wealthy feel indignant at … for example paying US$150.00 for a cup of coffee. Such actions only serve to irate the customer and encourage them to go elsewhere. I know wgt does listen to its customers as they must, to be a successful business.

One upgrade I believe is long overdue is the reward for reaching the higher tiers. Is it still 200c for reaching Legend? It takes a lot of commitment and often some money to reach these higher tiers and the reward is not even enough to buy a set of descent balls. Such is the disparity between what is given by wgt and what is requested. These differences can cause the Wgt client to have their nose put out of joint, even if they do not desire the product offered.

I am reasonably happy with WGTPizza and Icons efforts. A task I would want. But if look at it historically – often the messenger is shot. It’s not right, not everyone will do the shooting but that is what happens.

WGTpizza....lets put it this way.....and this is where WGT fails miserably.

WGT obviously had requests for these things they have put in to the Elite Collection.

So if all the WGT employees came in to my store and asked me for personalized avatars and golf bags i would say well let me look in to it for you and see what i can do. Then i would say give me your number so that when i find them and find how much they are worth i will give you a call and see if you still want them.(thats good customer service)

I wouldnt simply order them tell the customer they have arrived and when he shows up at my store to get them he can tell me to go **** myself.

Now this is what WGT has done....and lets be honest. How many items from the elite collection are going to be sold. From reading these forms i would say not a heck of a lot.

Its good that they listen to their customers, but not good that they forget to communicate with their customers a bit more before they make decisions like this.

Here's another question....if WGT had communicated in a forum what the costs of the current elite collection were going to be before they introduced them how much do you want to bet we would never have seen them show up there.

They simply need to communicate better with us and i think everyone would be happier. They have rolled out some great equipment and additions to the game don't get me wrong. Just not sure why they don't share more with us about product announcements before they roll them out....situations like this where we have a lot of very upset customers would have been avoided i believe.

Like I posted a looooooong time ago. One day / morning / evening we are going to log into the community and we'll be sitting there looking at our monitors like Carol Ann looking at the TV screen in Poltergeist,,,,LOL. Seriously.  Just sitting there looking at a "BLANK" monitor. WGT will have folded. Im serious man. I really think this may eventually happen. Especially after seeing so many of the TOP players who have ALREADY left the community.

Also noticing in-activity in the WGT forums. There use to be soooooo much more activity in the forums. All the topics would receive replies. Now, the forums have become  BLAH. Some topics can go an entire day before someone replies to them. It never use to be that slow,,,,never.

As a veteran member of the community, I see WGT really slowing down, and I MEAN, sloooowing down. We are not getting ANY NEW  power - house players clawing there way through the ranks and at the SAME TIME we're "losing" whatever power-house players are left. NOW , this update. Man!

Let me ask a question - What is next WGT? What is next my community friends?

Thank you for the feedback, cappiest. This is some good stuff folks, thank you, everyone, for maintaining composure during these difficult times.

For me its the marketing department at WGT are taking us for idiots. Items that are unattainable, cost a fortune and cost nothing to produce (except a small amount of a programmers time). There was very little for the average Joe who actually spends real cash to play. For the first time since I joined WGT, I am seriously questioning whether or not I want to continue playing.

But why does it suprise me, after all this is virtually a monopoly - so do what you want, when you want and at whatever price you want.

Just wait when you get to TL. It's a whopping 225 credits for that achievement.
