As for the argument some are using: "You don't have tens of thousands of credits in winnings, so this update doesn't apply to you, you have no reason to complain, blah blah...."

    I beg to differ.

An argument for me in this update is that there was so much time and programming spent on extremely fringe accessories for for a very few elite members, and nothing addressed to the everyday player like myself (who by the way averages about $70 a month).

It seems to me, or us, that there are so many other worth-while things to look into, fix, adjust, create, tweak, or even be acknowledged - that I, or we, feel like we're being told to frack off.

I'm not threatening to leave, I'd like to continue supporting WGT and their efforts. By my $25, $30, or $50 deposits here and there, I'd just like to know that what I'm supporting has my interests at heart also.

It just seems that the decision makers here are just so out of touch or simply don't care about the people spending or winning less than 100 bucks a month, which for a video game is pretty damn pricey, let's admit that. I know no one's "twisting my arm" to spend money here. I spend it because I like it, for the most part, and I hope in October 2013 that I'm still spending. For that to happen though, I'll need to see an update or two worthy of some kudos.

    WGTpizza:

    Oldbayrunner:

That isn't completely true Pizza there are several states as well as countries that do not allow playing for credits. So for those you would have to spend a helluva lot of time doing surveys or BUY credits that WGT SELLS to even come close to obtaining the credits for these items  .

What is not true? If you are responding to a post, please quote the words you are responding to for context.

    Wgtpizza,

    You're obtuse. Deliberately so.

You know exactly what OBR was referring to. He was referring to your idiotic comment that credits don't have a dollar value, ergo 500,000 credits doesn't actually equal $5,000.

Your exact words, (so you can't be equally obtuse in response to this post,) were, "The prices everyone is throwing around is not a direct cost to our players."

When your answers aren't obtuse, you obfuscate points. When not obfuscating, you claim ignorance.

Quite simply, your presence in these fora is superfluous to the reading public. You are not classy, and me and my credit card are done with wgt.

Immediately after hitting the "post" button, I will be sending an email to members@wgt.com requesting my account be cancelled. This game and its community relations has become a farce.

    Good riddance.

    Boomerboy44:

I like the idea of the Golf Channel buying WGT....Great rummer Suncity.

They know golf and have access.

The sale of WGT has been discussed on here a few times before, personally I have always felt that everything the company has done over the last 24 months has been geared to maximizing their recurring income for that purpose.

I remember going nuts at the prospect of paying 145credits for the GI-SD ball, now we have balls at $6.

Then there was the increasing cost of clubs that were then redundant 6 months later due to slightly better ones.

Not only were the price of clubs increasing, the leveling system means to be competitive you are buying 3 sets of clubs, upgrading along the way to get to Legend. My current clubs cost $128 alone. I must have spent $300 on clubs alone in 3 years.

We've all been complicit in aiding this process because it's such a great game, however today's update seems to have pushed a lot of people to the point of no return.

I'd welcome the sale of the game to a cash rich company that will invest for the long term, sort out the gameplay issues, get out of Beta and be content with the recurring revenue stream rather than trying to make a killing.

Well said Chris, we have been dying of boredom for quite some time now. It would be refreshing for a company to buy out current WGT ownership and bring us in to the 21st century.

    A change would be welcomed.

On the home page there is a red flag with two words written on it in white. It is placed in the upper right hand corner of the page. Maybe the second word should have the first letter changed from H to F.

    WGTpizza:

    CerinoDevoti:

The changes to the Elite Collection and the addition of wedges are optional purchases. The option is there. The Elite Collection items barely are relative to 1% of the members anyway.

I was hoping for an upgrade to playability that would have some relevance to 100% of the members. Something like having Uneven Lies an "option" for playing ranked stroke play, match play, skins and alternate shot games. I can only hope for February then?

    Wise words, CerinoDevoti.

That suggestion is a good one, too boot. I believe I have conveyed it to the WGT executives a while back, I will make sure to ping them again :)

Keep the calm, composed feedback coming

    Stay classy,

    -WGTpizza

I am currently on Page 21 or 22, and whilst I was laughing through most of those pages, since Pizza has come on board this thread is no longer amusing.

I have no idea how long the thread is , but I do not look forward to reading what remains.

Pizza knows very well that long established members here are unhappy, but continues to give bland and non committal answers.

The removal  of Gift cards is shameful. Similar to the sudden reduction in the value of views a few months back. A huge uproar and quite rightly so. People were hoarding their views, but WGT screwed them royally.

My 1st question is WGTPizza - Do WGT ever learn from their mistakes ?

Because WGT have dropped a right clanger here with this upgrade.

My 2nd question - Do you have any inkling about how many players could possibly earn 1/2 million credits playing this video game in lets say 1 year. You will probably just say "no', and my question remains truthfully 'unanswered'.

I know players that play and win 10 - 20 times a day, but no way on this virtual earth are they ever going to accrue 1/2 million credits in a reasonable time.

    Stay fresh

    1i

EDIT; by making this post I see I have a further 12 pages to plough through.

God help me, my game has gone to shite with this distraction. My best mate has just thrashed me 5 up twice in a row.
