They must have been on day release when they came up with this crap, who in the right mind will pay $5,000 for an avatar or $3,000 for a bag,I would not pay $5,000 for a tiger woods avatar never mind a made up one, what is there for the top players to play for now there is no incentive for being awesome at this game.

Might be some sense in this - I'll try and get a topless avatar and charge $2000 dollars a round......

then a follow up phone call for $1000   that seems to be the going rate on here......

We mock but before you know it we'll see custom avatars and bags on the course and think "oh good grief!".

OK ..gotta toss in my 2 cents

This really does baffle me... i do not play for creds.. but i competed for over 40 years..

where you paid an entry fee.... sure a small% was taken .. but there would also be ADDED money from sponcer's and such... and a payout as soon as the EVENT was over..IN REAL MONEY

i can understand a company needing to make money to keep going foward... but dang..it does appear  .. GREED  is taking over..

mabey there is another reason .. WGT ..can't or won't payout these folks who grind out these turny's day after day..

i scratch my head,,, must be ..some marketing expert has figured .. that keeping or making it so folks will want to remain on this game for years ,, just isn't as profitable .. as the high turnover approach...>>  get em in ..sell em some eqip... drive em away...

i am starting to get veryyy worried .... that before much longer.. there will be an update..that makes .. lets say ..any eqipment over 2 years old obsolete ... POOF its gone... TUFF TOODLE's loyal WGT addict...

buy new OR get THE *^&%^%$ out.... please clear ya cashe on the way out..

oh well... off to get my  7 views for the day .. an hunt a survey

    peace ..

Let's see 5,000 for customizable Avatar or for $29.95 one can buy a golf game with 42 courses, be able to fully customize your own avatar & hell even be able to design your own course. Hmmmmm wonder what the better value is?

Now I can give up my Clevelands for 1/2 more spin than I need and at the same time lose 1 dot of precision, oh boy now my ball can spin off even more and I wont quite know where it's going.. Sounds like a deal breaker to me.

Alright I can spend 100,000 to chat with Mr WGT getting royally screwed or spend $9 a minute talking with a phone hooker and not get screwed at all, wonder what the better value is?

I'm still trying to figure out how the hell I can shoot a 28 Then immediately have my game go to crap where everything I hit is off by a country mile from that point on. And yes that was with clearing cookies, cache and everything. Andy my man you may make a believer out of me yet.

Seriously I really can't see what the fuss is about. Disappointing that the new arrivals are just some gimmicky crap that nobody is being forced to buy but it's not the first release of overpriced crap on here is it?

From the minute you start playing WGT you know that no matter how good you become at the game, it's never going to be a cash cow. Sure a number of guys have got themselves a few gift cards but they are more a fringe benefit rather than a decent stream on income.

Personally I have never been motivated by the gift cards anyway, I far prefer to use any accumulated credits to gift others balls, equipment.

ps the less opportunity there is to make money out of the game, the less likely people are to cheat......

    after some thought

    i had a second theory....

Actually .. the folks at WGT ..are super RICH !! .. I have it all backwards..

the 500k avatar,, is a prop bet the set up at aboard meeting ... after a GIANT laff at the price in the room.. just to place bets ..when the 1st idiot would actually buy one..

if the custom was men't to generate revenue ..even my redknek think'n would say ..make it 50 buks... i bet they would sell 10 right off... making 500 buks... instead of ZERO ..

but i mite be wrong... and will see custom bag's an avatars galorrr  today..

    eye's peel'd...
