I would like to thank all contributors to the WGT Forums. For the first year or so I was here I was totally oblivious these even existed - I would turn up, hit play now and never actually looked at the rest of the site. Had I known this existed it would have saved me a few bad purchases when I finally upgraded from the starters equipment. And so in turn I have tried to be objective when I post, particularly to the new players asking for help. So I would highly recommend all players look at the forums to improve your game.

The wave of generosity starter by Legendcrusher made me proud to be part of the community so like many others I joined in, and it felt great. Then you see the allegations and the knives being sharpened in the background, but as any high profile figure, this does come with the territory I suppose.

I suppose most of the topics have been rehashed hundreds of times such as cheating, multi-accounting, sandbagging and VEM to include a few. But there have been many (in my opinion) great ideas suggested and thats where they seem to stay - as empty words typed on a long forgotten forum page.

I know WGT Icon and Pizza have acknowledged some of the ideas and will put them forward (to whom I cannot say) but never have I seen an announcement from WGT - as a result of the forum feedback............(and I do feel for Icon and Pizza at times as they are damned if they do and damned if they dont).

So my point to this rambling is, what good does the forum do in influencing the powers at be at WGT, whether its Chad or the incredulous idiots within the marketing department, bearing in mind the players who contribute to the forums is the vast minority of players who play the game.

I know in the last Chat with MisterWGT he said there were hundreds of things to be done and natutally were prioritized and sometimes perhaps these suggestions are in the "to do" basket but the lack of communication leaves everyone in the dark. I said in a diifferent post yesterday that WGT is virtually a momopoly for online golf games, and as such, can do what it wants, when it wants and at whatever price it wants.

I believe this is true and as such WGT takes very little notice of the small group of players who write in the forums (perhaps we are considered radicals whom under a dictatorship would simply disappear) lol.

There are two things that rile me, they are ignorance and arrogance and sadly WGT seem to be showing signs of both recently.

This is my last thread I will participate in, and it may well get pulled regardless. I am not leaving the game but have returned to my roots where I started, using mostly starters equipment (kept the wedges and putter - man do you need the wedges with this gear) but this time I will pop in to read the forums time to time to see what other suggestions are made that will once again be empty words never acted on.

Alan - blue skies and tailwinds

And as one of the very best you deserve to be thanked as well.

+ (as high a number you can think of)

I totally understand your frustration, I exhausted myself a bit as well for the past few months. At some point you inevitably reach a conclusion, that no matter how much good ideas many people throw out, there still has to be someone willing to embrace them on the other end and that segment seems to be lacking greatly here.

I am however willing to bet you a sleeve you'll post here again. I just don't see you turning your back if you come across a thread where a true newbie is asking for help or advice. I'll try to force myself to stay out of the "politics" (not sure I'll succeed though) and only try to offer advice and take the occasional jab at someone, if I feel the urge.

I hope you at least keep enjoying playing and hanging out with friends, Sir. That's what this game finally should be all about.

    Jure

I find if comical that some of the better posters are pulling back.  I suppose some of it is the "natural cycle" of things.  But, I also suppose it's because the headache from banging one's head against a brick wall has finally reached migrane status.

It's a shame to see regulars go.  It's a shame to see that the consensus of monopoly induced arrogance is the common cause of the headaches.  It's a shame that WGT is so set in it's ways it continues to refuse to change this image.  It's just a shame.

With no offer of any feedback or plans or not to implement them.

Hmm although the word isnt 'seem', they are! and quite blatant about it as well.

In a way I dont blame you, but think of those people coming in to WGT that you could offer help to.

Probably better, faster and more concise than is currently offered.

    They need you Alan.

Yup, and the only remedy offered is 8 month old pizza.

I'm with ya, made a post earlier in another thread. I certainly am not one of the go to guys on WGT, but I have tried to keep it real with some levity thrown in. I truly enjoy my friends on here and will continue to solicit their play and conversation. As far as making any suggestions to improve the site, or buying credits to gift to others, I am through for the time being. It is obvious, the more some of us do, the less WGT has to, they have laughed at us enough, (look at these idiots spending money to show good will). I see the good will declining due to the kick in the ass we are getting. It's been fun for 2 1/2 years on here, I just don't feel I owe WGT anything at all. I owe it to my friends to stick around and have some good laughs. If that doesn't fit the requirements of a worthy member, then I have nothing else to say. Squirrel Nutz has a very good sense of humor, but some things are just not funny. And at the moment, I am not laughing.

First of all, sorry to hear, A.

Link to deleted topic. That must have been the call to all sign up elsewhere. On purpose not mentioning where to not get this topic removed, and hell, we all know by now where that elsewhere might be, right ?

Definitely time to take a forum sabbatical..

Took my frustrations out on Pizza the other day as the only available face of WGT...have apologized privately but as my comments were public so should the apology be....

Probably best not to post angry or drunk and not when both together for sure !!

Think both mods do a good job and get unfair stick at times for what is a thankless task.

Still never felt this deflated before, was trying for 5000 xp a day to get to L94 by the months end......I could only do 2 games yesterday and they were 4th rounds of a CC comp.
