    Started last nights play with a 62.31 Ave, played 6 rounds ( 57, 61, 30, 29, 28 and 29 ) and Ave is now 62.11 --any explanation ?

    It normally drops 0.1 for 29 and 0.2 for a 58 or lower, 59's don't move it normally ??

    The only thing I could come up with is I've done 500 ranked but I think I've probably only got 300 or so.

    Anyway, not complaining just trying to understand it.

    29 = 58...Shouldn't make any difference. You should be able to figure out the number of rounds the avg is calculated with using this formula:

    X = (Avg 2 - R) / (Avg 1 - Avg 2)

    X = number of rounds played over wich Avg is calculated

    Avg 1 = Average before R

    Avg 2 = Average after R

    R = Strokes played in round (corrected for 18 holes; 28=56, 29=58 etc)

    ^^^ Hear what you're saying  7th, but I didn't take a note of how many rounds I had when I turned Legend and as you know you can't find that out.....

    That's why I explain what normally happens with certain scores...thx though, Andy

    It's the other way round. With this you can calculate the number of rounds you played in the Legend Tier :-)

    Taking the 57 as example and assuming that avg would drop 0.02 after that:

    X = (62.29 - 57)  /  (62.31 - 62.29) = 264 (Not exactly ofcourse due to the inaccuracy of given Avg being only 2 decimals)

    Thanx Einstein, but I'm none the wiser...just more confused!  LOL

    What is unclear? 264 is the approximate number of rounds het has played in the Legend tier. (Seems to fit as he guestimated he had something like 300).

    Going into the round he had an avg of 62.31. He played a 57 (in the example) en his avg became 62.29. (-0.02) Based on those values and using the formula 264 is the outcome.

    Got the equation for how many ranked but..

    Just posted a 28 on BPB b9 and it went to 62.08 from 62.11 then 32 on Oak B9 and Ave gone from 62.08 to 62.06 :-))  That can't be right ?

    Andy

    Edit : now a 33 on RSG and gone to 62.05 ? Anyone from WGT got a better explanation..?

    Weird. Can only mean one thing imo: avg is saturated. My math is useless here (As my teachers concluded many decades ago :-))

    With over 1000 total rounds (I'm almost sure it didn't take you more than 500 rounds to reach L), combined with what you're describing, it's saturated for sure. You're gonna be a TL in a month or so. Congrats!
