So I come to 18, having shot +2 on the front (somehow missed 2 4ft putts), and having clawed all the way back to -2. I'm sitting 163 in the fairway. I hoist a 5-iron up to the left front third of the green and it rolls all the way back to the hole and in. Amazing shot, I have it saved. It gave me a 68 and put me one shot under the payout cut line. Woo hoo, right? I go to my profile only to see that my scoring average is now a flat 69, and I'm now amongst the amateur ranks. If I birdie, I shoot 69 and probably don't get the payout. But my scoring average stays under the 69.18 threshold and I get to play another tourney in the hack ranks. Ladies and gentleman: Golf.
