Just makes me wonder why the R11 driver/3wd's aren't adjustable in the game.

If they would have made it more appealing for the Legends tees,  I would have bought it even if I don't need it.  LOL

    Their loss.

I just tried the 270 12 an a half dgree loft as a wood Mr Fan and at 91% full bs from the fairway it wented 114 yards so i guess the answer is no. I needed 240 to the pin, it flew flat as a pancake.

I have known for a long time that WGT will not allow "deck shots" so i didnt think it would work..nice try thinking outside the box though..cudos

Thats all true Teewade, its just the way i read it, you buy one club which has some mechanical jibjabs which means you can jibjabberise as you play and change heads like you were flighty as a butterfly on weed. the whole thing is hyped as a special club which it would be if you could do all of that.

Ive since read here that golf dont play like that and now know my mistake, but i bet the shiney talk about the club fools other people who also dont know anything about the rules of golf, into buying the club just so they can jib and jab during the game. it doesnt specifically say you cannot do that with this club, at least not for thickies like me, but what it SEEMS to say is that anyone with a regliar driver dont have any option, whereas with this jibjabpokery one, you do. My stoopid i guess.

wont get fooled again mind :-)

Don't be too hard on yourself. It took me a couple of reads as well before I comprehended it lol. Andddd deffo will not be buying this club either.

3 clubs for the price of 1, pretty cool.

still any of them probably have no use being in my bag.

Neat idea though.  can be your driver, your 3 wood, or your hybrid, or by the sounds of the 12..5 degree, can act like a wedge (really? someone hit it 114 yards?)

I don't care for the club.....yet..........but it's a nifty idea in my eyes. Whatever wgt's motivation.......

I still need a hybrid and 4th wedge slot in my bag without dropping others. I know i can squeeze em in there and I've never seen a single course marshal or tournament official on any course......so who's lookin?

break the rules wgt......cmon :)   for us math challenged lol

The higher tier players seem to be getting forgotten more & more, never any new clubs for us

But in fairness you / i / we don't need any more clubs really do we?

For those that know how to use them the current top level set up already makes the game too easy. It would become insane if better irons were brought out.

Don't get me wrong, i'd love to have the option of buying something different, but i'd hate to see what it would do to already ridiculous scoring.

But saying all that, i wouldn't be surprised to see an adjustable R1 top level driver out sometime soon. Probably the same yardage as the R11s, just with the ability to adjust like this Nike. Oh, and costing about a zillion credits ;-)

sorry duffsie, that 114 i hit was from fairway at 91% full swing with full bs. It achieved zero loft and ran like a foot off the floor skittering along like its tail was on fire. I hate to think what it would perform like out of the rough.

I would say that the club is nothing more than a mediocre driver at best, wouldnt replace a wood or a hybrid ( whatever one of them is ) and can only act as one club choice in your bag, unless you deep sixed two other clubs just so as you could have 3 shiney dibdab looking drivers to look at after you flunked any shot type but a drive.

it also sounds like a truckers wet fart, or if you use your magination and have royal marine dreams, you can pretend its a silenced smith and wesson '39 with which to shoot your partners without them hearing it. But thats only because im an blood sucker i suppose (whatever one of they is )

    :-)

To hit a driver off the ground just use punch. It loses some distance but will get a lots of roll, especially if you use top spin instead of back spin,But it is not a shot to use if you need to clear any obstacles but it does have its place.

WGT players typically equip just 1 driver for each round, based on the course and wind conditions, but you can also choose to carry more than one driver in your bag (in virtual or real golf). You just have to decide what other club you'll remove, for example some players choose to play with 2 drivers and only 1 three-wood or hybrid. It's all part of the game.

actually the only rule for real golf is you can have no more than 14 clubs. If you should so choose you could carry 14 drivers. LOL 14 putters, just so you have no more than 14.

Actually folks, you can hit a driver off the fairway, you just have to use the Punch rather than a Full shot.  I've played a full 9 holes with nothing but a driver... tee shots, fairway shots, putts.  Even out of rough.  The only place where you can't use it is out of bunkers, in which case I used a 3-iron.  Everywhere except the tee you have to use a Punch.

If wanting to use it off the fairway, the more loft the better.
