    PUHOLINO:

You do all realize the lady in question is probably reading these comments? Just think "nice rack" to yourself and write "a good looking woman and a great host" in the forum. No need to show our true colors to the unsuspecting lady right from the start ;-)

As for the 6 million active players and the 95% real golfers... LMAO. I'd say even 1 million and 60% would be stretching the numbers.

Puh...., I activated my ISP ESP and found out that there are actually 11 active players...2 of whom play real golf...Unfortunately...and here is he heartbreaking news....you my friend are not an active player....but a figleaf of our imagination and all record of you will be stricken from the site post haste.  I'm digging deep to try and find out who the 11 players are, but so far, I've only been able to verify a few.  Yancy is real...well...because...you just cant fake that sh*t. Andyson is real---because anyone that good with photo shop must be real.  The other 9 remain  a mystery. I was also able to determine that I am not real. Two of our mods...are  actually one person...form here on they will be known as the collective WGT-IPizz.

Something isn't quite right here. WGT and the Golf Channel announce this big hookup and it turns out WGT has been in bed with the GC for over 2 years!! A regular playing bud, here since 2010, says the only way he played WGT for the first 6 months was through the link on their site. He never knew about the main site. Now, over 2 years later there's this announcement? What's up with that?

Probably wasn't a true partnership back then Jim.  Based on what I found below, it could have been merely permission from WGT to allow The Golf Channel to run the game client in an i-frame (embedded in TGC site).  The T&C specifies embedding WGT.com in another site is not allowed without permission of WGT.

I used the Internet Archives WayBack Machine site and searched for http://www.thegolfchannel.com/games/  and got this look at The Golf Channel site in December 2009.  TGC had a "Games Tab" that took you to the page shown below.

Clicking on WGT Play Now brought up another TGC web page with the game client embedded.

I haven't found TWO(EA Sports) access from the current TGC website, it appears the new deal is giving WGT exclusive access from TGC and pushing EA Sports out of that picture.

Don't you find it odd that a hookup like this has been kept under wraps for so long? My first thought was that one of the 2 mucky-mucks at the top has his fingers in the GC pie.

Not really.  Communication has not and is not one of WGT's strengths.  Do you see an announcement of the current hookup in the NEWS tab above?  Nope.

Um, maybe for the golf audience they attract? Probably a little better for new membership than hoping a search engine attracts an interested party or two, IDK. Makes sense to me.
