The point about that number is that they've conducted no market research so they shouldn't be making such assertions. Has anyone been asked if they play real life golf by WGT?

Geeeez people,  Whenever I read something encouraging about WGT,  why is the first reaction of people to find everything that is wrong with it?  Personally, I feel that this is a great means of exposure for WGT and maybe, just maybe will encourage some people like the folks at Augusta National or Pebble Beach or somewhere else to take another look at WGT as a means to reach more golfers and maybe even get some new and exciting golf courses added that the WGT community.

Keep it up WGT.  Good move.

No doubt it will bring more visitors to both web sites!

And it appears both sites can use a boost at this time of year.....

Site Analytics Compete.com data for WGT  Site Analytics Compete.com data for GC

From what I've read, The Golf Channel is primarily broadcast to the US and Canadian markets.  It is not our prime golfing season overall with the exception of Florida, the Southwest and West Coast.

It will be interesting to see the January, February data and whether both sites benefit from this partnership.  Although I see the WGT interface on the Golf Channel site has changed since we first saw it.  It now requires the Golf Channel visitor to register at WGT.com in order to play through the GC website.  I'm thinking that's not a good move as non registered players can play as a guest when visiting the WGT web site, then decide to register or not.

Because a lie is a lie...WGT have NO idea if I play golf IRL..and I spend more than 35 mins in the rough per day !! :)

So it behoves us to keep questioning,  EVERYTHING,  ALWAYS !!

You do all realize the lady in question is probably reading these comments? Just think "nice rack" to yourself and write "a good looking woman and a great host" in the forum. No need to show our true colors to the unsuspecting lady right from the start ;-)

As for the 6 million active players and the 95% real golfers... LMAO. I'd say even 1 million and 60% would be stretching the numbers.
