Unfortunately, I didn't receive any news about the missing game except for mantis' short notice late yesterday. Therefore, I'll have to cancel this match without a winner.

I hate my job and I'm sorry, guys!

    Now I see two options:
    - either let Reese (brhthecarpenter) slip through to the next round without a match,
    - or revive Lobsterboy's participation as the luckiest loser of all and let him step in for match 6.

I'd prefer the second option just for the fun of playing - opinions anyone?

    (especially Reese and Lobster)

In our club matchplays, i ask everyone to post the efforts they make in contacting the other player.

A player who shows their effort for no joy wins that game by default.

In this case, perhaps as Mantis was a little late in notifying that maybe we can let it slide.

However, if lobster isnt responding to anyone..  well then

This is good practice Shrude once it is well established.

Alas, until now this is a single tournament in an open community rather than a closed one (CC). Everybody knew the schedule and we gave those guys two extra days.

I'd rather have heard of any effort during the week we established than such indifferent notice after my reminder here and on their walls.

There's a saying here, "To wait for the belated means to penalize those who were in time."

I don't want to spend any more effort of mine into these guys who - excuse me - failed to show much themselves. I don't judge on anybody, as there are plenty of understandable reasons which are much more important than this wee pastime. I also know that intercontinental time arrangements may be difficult.  Alas, the world keeps rotating and we continue, too.

    Thanks for any understanding.

Strange thing, Daskino played all yesterday, even the 30th.

I remember when he accept to play that when we already read and write in the presentation thread. Maybe he forgot or miss the Paul wall post. Sometimes happen to me that I didn't see a wall even if I read my email.

Any ruling is fine by me

Weekends are the only time I can be logged on in the morning and evening.   Weekdays, only on at night (Aussie Time). I think that is 11pm pst onwards for about 4-5 hrs before I have to hit the sack to wake up a few hours later.....lol

Shrude and myself have got the same hours,

That's when I think, when Deskino is playing, I'm fast asleep during the week....  wkends is a different story.

Any ruling is fine by me :)

    -Roger

Me too, guys. I do apologize for all the mess.

It's clear that me and Roger don't match our teetimes on weekdays. I see him logged in atm, but I don't know if he's willing/available to play.

I don't like to give further delay to the tourney, so I'll agree to any decision will be taken.

It's a pity that you guys obviously had an impossible match.

It shows even more the value of Corwyn's detailled planning and preparation of the uneven "Tough-It-Out" tourney, including their availability chart.

Surprise, surprise, we finally had it.

I repeat myself, I agree with any decision you will take.

I know we were late, and anyway, we played for fun. And it was an enjoyable match with a great company. Just sorry bunkered teeshot ruined Roger's match at #9.
