Pop up ads blocking my meter?

  I've been a member on here for years and love the game, but if I have to deal with an ad blocking my swing meter every single shot. Then I will definitly find something else to do with my time and my money!!!!!!!

  I hear that!  My troubles are slightly different and hope you don't mind me asking if you see the same thing.....

  at the end of a mp game, I get an add blocking the continue button that's typically showing on the scorecard and have no idea how to get around it without closing the entire window. 

  have you ever seen that one?

  Use chrome or comodo dragon and get the ad block plus extention no more ads.

  If you are getting a pop-up ad during game play on the game play screen you need to check your PC for adware and malware. WGT's ads never pop-up on the game play screen. Their pop-up ads are all on the top and bottom of the Scorecard screen. The ads you are getting are either from adware or malware. No matter which it it is it is not a good thing. Also Icon has always said if you get something like this on your game play screen to take a screen shot and send it to WGT so they can investigate it.

  . I'm not sure that ad block can block pop-up ads from adware and or malware. It might but the way they work I sort of doubt it.

  Yours might be the same sort of thing. Ads from either adware or malware. You need to check your PC for both. Also the next time you get it take a screen shot of it and send it to WGT.

  thank you for the reply. I failed to mention that my issue with an ad blocking the continue button next to the rematch button at the end of game screen is a wgt ad and in most if not all cases is for the new Max irons.  Perhaps its simply an issue with their design of that particular ad.  I have no idea.  I will heed your advice and might just post it here first so you can see what I am speaking of

  That might be something with your screen resolution. Change your screen resolution and see if that helps.

  if I am alone in this I would concur.  However I still am inclined to believe it's an image/banner formatting issue with that particular ad. Again, I will post when it happens again.  thanks so much BTBS

  I sure wish I had posted this in another thread for inquiry.  I feel I've hijacked this and I do apologize to the original poster.  I will take this up in a new post from this point on.

  This is an excellent suggestion, however occasionally when the ads are blocked it causes the meter to stutter. The ads need to get out of the game client, I recall this being discussed before and resolved, but they are back.

  Why are there ads in the game client at all.

  A friend had this fault blocking him from the game

  

  and while an "investigation" by WGT has apparently shown no results in two weeks, he found a workaround:

  right click into the ad, then left click into the game window.
