Yesterday morning I played in the single play 18 at kiawah and had my best round so far. A -6 66. This round was a little depressing but also encouraging. How can it be both? Well I was even par after 6 holes with 2 birdies 2 bogies and 2 pars. What I believe turned another so-so yo-yo round around and made me play well was a 52 foot eagle on #7 The putt was also my longest putt so far.. The bogies of course were depressing because they were brain dead moment 3 putt bogies that should have been pars. But what was most depressing were the 2 3 foot birdie putts that I completely blew. With a little more concentration that 66 could well have been a 61 or 62. But still it is encouraging that for the first time I was able to get past my brain dead moments and post a very good score.
