Was a bit silly putting it on his profile...still you'd think WGT would say "We won't allow this, so please cease and desist or...."

LMAO! I was just waiting to see how he was going to weasel his way out. LOL! What a freaking shame man. That is just down right B*LLSH*T. But to think that an 18 year old kid was going to pay out "$500.00" to someone he more than likely NEVER even met is a bit gullible. Sad but true.

    Quick thought for WGT.

This situation is entirely of your own creation. You were warned by numerous members that removing the gift cards would drive credit sales underground but chose to ignore that because "the marketing department know best".

Now you're in a situation where trying to prevent such sales is unrealistic and unenforceable and by disabling buggyy's account you've made sure that no-one will give you any public hint of who is buying and selling what.

Poorly though-through economic decision that creates a situation you can't control. Very disappointing as well that there has been no attempt to address customer dissatisfaction with the change and engage with the community beyond the efforts of Pizza and Icon. All this despite the fact a significant number of senior members spoke up.

I sure as hell wouldn't employ any of your marketing and business strategy team in my company.

I have no doubt that Buggyy will pay the prizes in his tournament, unless WGT takes away his account and credits.  Frankly it is sort of amusing that the terms and conditions speak of gambling when in reality it is just that.  Playing for 2000 credits is $20, about the average blackjack bet.

That being said those who want to gamble on the game will do it.  They don't need the permission of WGT.  I thought the start of the high dollar games was a bad idea.

When was this supposed to have happened. He played today and added 1 friend.

But one question. How was he supposed to sell credits. You can't gift credits. He might have  intended to lose MPC matches but  WGT  gets a fairly good sized chunk of those credits. It really makes so sense. There may be more a lot more to it that no one but Buggyyy and WGt knows.

Easy you put 2 bucks in a pay pal and they forfeit you 400 creds. You get double what u paid. But thats not what matters right now i want to know why the others were warned. I m on call with him now so i'm doing the talking for him right now.

Even if he did that the winner would not get 400 credits. With WGT's 10% Rake the winner would only get 360 credits and WGT would also get 40 credits of the 400 credits he put up.

    Well said.

Reinstate the gift cards.  Sell custom avatars to everybody.  The avatars pay for the cards.  No resources are needed to combat the black market.  Everybody's happy.
