What would be the 2 best wedges to buy as in their loft?
I have a TayloeMade Z Satin Pro 58 degree
and a TaylorMade Z SatinPro 64 degree.
are they a good pair or should one be more or less lofted?
Thanks
tcg
I would go with a 60 instead of a 58. It's more versatile close up and stops better. The 64 is a no brainer. :-)
Jim is right, however I strongly suggest placing 3 Satin wedges in your bag. Take out a wood or hybrid to throw in Satin 64, 60, and 54 wedges. They will cover all your shots inside a 100 yards, unlike from 220 yards, that's where your scores will drop.
What shots do you hit with your wedges? Do you use punch and flop?

everthing but punches

Oh my... you don't know what you are missing! Give the wedge punches a try!

that is correct....they stop on a dime most of the time and check up nice with wedge punch shots!!! love em
I think Mr Avatarlee would agree, besides the stop on a dime, punch shots are gap fillers. Imagine not having to hit less then 95% of swing meter from 40yds to 115yds?

And don't stop there. Punching longer irons comes in quite handy sometimes. :-)
Mostly flops
