I think that you should be allowed to change equiment (balls) during the game. Not knoing when your last ball will be taken out of play leaves you at a disadvantage if it happns during play. Especially early in thegame

There is a meter on the bottom right of your screen to show the state of the ball.

Doesn't show the state of the ball before the round starts though.  However, I think you can actually buy a sleeve of the same balls mid round and as long as you do it before that last ball is pulled from play you will then make it through round without having to go to the starter ball.

I think OP probably has multiple balls that were gifts or he won where he is on last ball of a those sleeves and would like to be able to change from one ball to another after that last ball is pulled and can't.

I'm not sure way, just the way it is. I know many people have made that suggestion.

If you run out of balls it's not like WGT runs you off the course.  They will supply you with balls to finish your round.  Not that any of the pros in the Farmer's Insurance Open at Torrey Pines play that kind of ball...

He is right you can buy balls before you tee off. But it is much easier and quicker to buy balls by clicking on  the last ball warning.Doing that  you buy a sleeve of balls without ever leaving the game window. I haven't bought balls any other way for at least 6 months ,maybe longer. As you probably know as soon as you get down to 1 ball the last ball warning pops up. Just buy them then. There is no reason to run out of balls with this system in place,

That is because WGT uses the same one ball rule(that is the same type and color ball) that almost every tournament uses. Run out of balls here you get to finish the round with the free ball. Run out in a real tourney and if you can't borrow a ball or two from one of your playing partners you are disqualified.

Bit of a pisser when you get the 'oops' notice though eh ?

Would you start a $5 RG relying on that working ?

I find it easier to carry a large stock of balls. It's no more expensive in the long term.
