I purchased new balls before I teed off because I knew I may run out of what I was playing (NIKE). When WGT took my last ball out of play, I was switched back to starter balls instead of the Callaway balls I bought before I started. My question is why did it not bring those balls into play instead of the starter balls? They were in my bag.

WGT follows the One Ball golf rule. You can purchase more of the same type of ball if you run out, and continue playing with them, but you can not switch to an entirely new ball in the middle of a match.

The WGT rock doesn't have unique properties you could use to gain an advantage on a specific hole.

Really, what's so hard to understand about this rule? It certainly doesn't deserve 20 kazillion posts.

Honestly folks, WGT is cutting us a pretty hefty chunk of slack with this.  The alternative would be a message saying you have run out of the balls you started the round with and must now forfeit.    Hands up who'd prefer this.......

And let's be honest, it isn't exactly rocket science to make sure you have enough of that particular type of ball in the bag.  We even get a warning when we get down to the last one.
