not saying anything bad about how they get those scores when you have all the time in the world to calculate every shot it can be done put them in an AS game or any game with a timer you wont see em shoot so low IMO not trying to take away anything from someone who wants to put that much time and effort into this game
For the very best, timer is no impediment, my friend. Watch some of videos that a few of the top players have put up on YouTube (search YT for bolluxinbruges, for example). Their pace of play is pretty damn quick. Well under 15 min for 9 holes.
They just know their equipment and the course they're playing, and have a fighter-jock's reflexes on the meter. Stay out of trouble on drives and lay-ups, develop the ability to place your approaches within a few yards of the pin, and perfect you putting to where everything inside 15 - 20 feet is a 'gimmee' ... you too can be shooting those 50-60 scores.
Played alt-shot against Courtney (56-something 'avg') and another low 60 player last night. My pard and I are upper 60s 'hack' Legend players. They got us 6 and 4, as expected, but Courtney was by far the fastest player during the game. Her approaches were generally within 2 or 3 yards of the pin - and that was in SA wind - and I don't recall her ever missing a putt.
