I just can't get the hang of them, ever since I have got them, they seem so random.
Firstly the club spacings are awful, consistently have to choke down clubs or punch 2 clubs up to get anything near the yardage desired, always seems like the yardage is inconvenient to the shot needed.
Secondly, it states they have a 'high' trajectory, yet you cant even stop the 6 iron on an elevated green, let alone anything below that, meaning the USPGA courses are a bit of a joke, even with pretty much the best driver for my level, its impossible to stick certain holes.
I actually hate the 7 iron, with a passion, it says 160 yards, yet consistently lands at 145-150, I expect a more lofted club to carry closer to its stated yardage, but it is a complete nightmare to get this club right.
I don't understand how people enjoy so much success with these clubs? I can understand that they are probably very good when you don't play off master tees +, or when you play easy courses like STA and kiawah, but on USPGA courses they just get on my nerves.
Is there something I am missing, is there a secret to the distance on the G20's? Or are they just this horribly innacurate and poor, because even when I am hitting ding's consistently, they seem to be crazily random in terms of direction, distance and how the wind takes them, I miss having several tap in birdies like I used to with previous clubs.
The only thing I can think, is varying up my levels of spin to gain or take away distance, reducing backspin seems to give a good few yards and get it to the pin, but then its catch 22 because the ball wont stop and runs way past.
Any thoughts are welcome, as it is I can't wait to get rid of these clubs, shame there is no decent alternative at this level.
